I wish there was PVP in all the zones... such that:
    1. when you quest away from your home city, you are paranoid that any moment could be your last
    2. you need to put everything in the bank because if you are killed all your items could be looted
    3. when you get a quest that is far away you actually need to consider if it is worth the risk to do it alone or wait for a buddy
    4. That death is very punishing and you are scared out of your mind if you are outnumbered
    5. who ever kills you will have equally scary repercussions with the justice system
    6. a thief can sneak into your house and steal your crap. because you stored some things in your house
    7. City like Davon's Watch can be raided by the opposing faction if every one can collaborate together, and if the king(who ever is the boss) is killed rewards will be awesome
    8. you can get real time contracts to hunt down player criminal scum
    9. all the gear is simple, and provides nothing but damage mitigation with out any 2 3 4 5 x bonuses.
    10. and much more

I know this will never happen, but man.... I would love the game 100 times more. until I am ganked over and over and rage quit, and come back because I like torturing myself.

ARK and that Conan game have all those features.

This thread has nothing much to do with ESO. But, if we're talking about how MMO's SHOULD be, then of course there should be a dedicated PvP region, and a dedicated PvE region, with the bulk of the content being in a mixed PvP/PvE region.

In terms of ESO, it made little sense before (Cadwell's "magic"?) that a player from one faction could quest in another faction's zones. With One Tamriel, you don't even need Cadwell for this to happen.

If you are questing in the zone of another faction, and you attack that faction, then players from that faction should be able to intervene.

People who play MMO's with the desire to NEVER be attacked by a player of an opposing faction are not well-formed human beings.

Lol so because someone doesn't like to play the game how you do, they are not will formed human beings? Talk about not being well formed.

That mentality is that of someone who is not well formed.

Whatever you mean by well formed.

Some people just don't enjoy PvP, and some don't enjoy pve. There is nothing wrong with only doing things you enjoy. Now doing things that you don't enjoy like you are suggesting seems a little off to me.

Btw I play pvp AND pve. This game is not suited to have pvp enabled in every zone. We already have a zone with pve and PvP, imperial city. It seems that not alot of people enjoyed that zone, everytime I go there it is almost empty.

No, I like the game as ESO not survival simulator. Could you imagine a group of 20 nightblades camping on quest givers? LoL

The last thing I want is to wander around worried that I will be continually harassed by people who have nothing better to do than follow people around and continually gank them. That is not fun. There are a lot of people who agree with this statement. And I am sure that there are a lot of people who agree with my next statement. If ESO went and changed everything so that open world PvP existed and we had to be on constant alert, I would quit. I would never log in again and Zeni/Beth would never get single dime out of me again. A lot of people would leave. Zeni/Beth are not stupid enough to do that and lose so many clients. Keep PvP in zones marked for PvP and keep PvE in zones marked for PvE. Simple as that. It's bad enough that changes to classes for PvP affect how classes work in PvE. We don't need your useless FOTM builds ganking newbies and non PvP players.

If PVP was allowed to spill over to PVE- it would absolutely ruin the game within weeks. As we know- in all other open world games with pure PVP- you get "campers".

You think the "rubber banders" hanging out in Dolemens is annoying? Can you imagine what would happen when you first spawned from your tutorial? Or how about when you're making your way to the Harborage... and there's a bunch of stealthed players waiting to gank you?

I can imagine it now: Hoardes of basement dwelling trash-players whispering "Get rekt", "GG", and "L2P Noob" at players trying to make it to level 4...
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

The only mmo pvp I really like is when it's game-wide. I don't really consider eso to be a pvp game at all, since you can lvl and gear in perfect safety. It's a pve game with pvp tacked on.
I'd love to see gamewide pvp in eso, but I prefer ffa rulesets so that players form the factions themselves, in my experience, hard coded teams turns servers to 1-faction hell much sooner then they would otherwise.

In eso's current form, people would just retreat to instances. It would be boring. It's not set up for it at all, plus foisting pvp on people who didn't buy the game for that would probably kill it.

Eso's "pvp" is canned farming, that's just the way it is. A lot of people obviously enjoy that the way it is, so changing the ruleset might drive them off too, it wouldn't just be a matter of red concerns vs blue concerns.

A dedicated server for it would be a great experiment though, I would definitely check it out even if I was not 100% in favour of the ruleset.

lol ^ so killing the easiest mobs in any MMO ever is fun?

Anyways...it would be pretty sweet if there were certain zones in PvE that were "contested". I don't really care for losing all my items on death (that's dumb imo) but being able to PvP in some of the amazing zones in ESO would just be flat out awesome.

I played Swtor on a mixed server and never had any issues. I wasn't interested in pvping in that game, ironically I wasn't interested in pvp in this game until I joined my guild on a Cyrodiil skyshard run and we decided to take a peek at a nearby battle. I've been hooked ever since :D

Anyway I quested in peace in swtor. I saw plenty of flagged people out and about and I was never bothered by them. No one ever jumped into me fighting npcs or anything. The only time I ever got flagged was having to go into the Outlaws den for that HK quest and those dailies with the binoculars. I went in knowing I could be killed but fortunately it was either empty or people weren't interested. I even traveled to a base on Tatooine and there was a full scale raid of sith murdering everyone they could but since I wasn't flagged I just strolled out. Would have been awesome to see a group of Jedi show up and fight them.

Anyways the point of my long story is that I think with an opt in system like swtor it could work and be fun. I for one would jump into the fray if dirty elves attacked Wayrest!

I really don't want my relaxation, slow questing, or gathering to be disturbed by PVPer. there is a reason why I do not go in Cyrodiil (unless I'm in the mood, which never happened...)

Its very nice that there is PVP for PVPer and tranquile zone for everyone else. So you can choose what you want to do. If PVP where implemented everywhere, I could not choose to be tranquile anymore. I'd forced to accept to be killed once in a while if it was the desire of a PVPer.

There is game like that. I understand their appeal but I'm not playing them. So ...

NOPE NOPE NOPE and Re NOPE. I could nto disagree more with the OP.
Good for us this will never happen.
