Let people buy craft bag is actually not that bad

The business people made this choice for that reason and Zos has said it will not be offered in any capacity via the crown store.

That's an interesting claim to make. Can you point us to where we can see this for ourselves?

MMO developers almost never say never about anything because one never knows what one might want to do tomorrow.

Case in point : there is no storage in housing because presently the main reason to sub is the crafting bag. Storage is in high demand and obviously makes perfect sense in association with housing. So their shiny new housing feature is being slammed up and down the internet. They won't be loving that.

So they will probably at least be considering the idea of purchasable storage. Not necessarily exactly the same as the crafting bag but something along those lines.

Actually craft bag is showing us the most unfair part of this game.

They are actually saying you:"Ohoh you can buy your game and all the dlc but playing will still be a pain in the ass if you don't subscribe"

People refusing this is a sign of bad health for a game, are pretty sad to me.

My 2 cents: craft bag can stay subonly but freeDlcs, gold, exp, free monthly crowns and everything other must go forever.

Zos think about that and make things more fair. If they want the craft bag, they should PAY MORE for it.And they would do it, I guarantee. That's what this community deserves for opposing a good change that would led the game on an healthy way.

So you're saying you'll only accept "unfairness" if you know other people are taking it up the butt for it.

    Got it.

I will ignore any attempt to pull me on the trail of inconsistency.

Any discussion cue is precious, so is any add to the topic, in my opinion.

...It's not going to happen. The craft bag being an ESO+ exclusive was a fabulous business decision. Your thread indicates it still is.

I'm unconvinced by this reasoning despite it being brought up frequently. Good business decisions for a game like this target different markets.

Some people, myself included, don't see the value in recurring $15 monthly charges for whatever reason (uncertain schedules, disagreement with value, etc.). Some of those people probably would pay a flat fee for a limited feature, one-time purchase 'crafting bag' (e.g. 30 slots with stack limits for something like 2 000 crowns).

My point generally is that there must be some space between the full sub, full crafting bag and buy-to-play, no bag model that would please players and make money for ZOS.

I can't buy anything I am not allowed to use my Steam Wallet. How about a game card so I can buy things. I do not use credit cards or paypals. I would like to buy DLCs for this game and cash shop items but nooooo there is no option for those of us who do not use credit card/paypals.

The problem is that MANY players said they would have never subscribed without Crafting Bags, as in the Crafting Bags was their sole incentive to subscribe. Figure this, for ZOS to make your scenario work, they would have to charge such a high price for the bag to offset the subscriptions lost from those new players... because many new players will subscribe for the length of time they are playing. When they return, they'll re-subscribe to reactivate their crafting bag again. The way your line of thinking is, OP, is that the only people that subscribe are long-term players, but that's not necessarily true. Many short-term players will subscribe for the other perks along with Crafting Bags, costume dying, etc.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people want a free ride. Believe it or not, it actually takes money to run a business (yes, MMOs are a business). If their balance sheet doesn't work, they fold their tent and go away (and you get to go searching for another game).

I've played a dozen MMOs (including WoW and FFXIV with mandatory subs). ESO's business model is easily the best I've seen. Don't believe me? Go play any "free" MMO on the market and take a good, hard look at the number of inventory slots - it's a joke.

The truth is that no matter what ZOS provides as part of sub, there will be a non-subber screaming "unfair". Personally, I think ZOS should give subbers a lot more perks than they do. Subbers are paying for (most of) the development that the rest of us cheapskates get to enjoy for (almost) free.

They will not let the sub go its amazing how many players sub just for that bag take that away and the crown store prices will triple nothing short of ZOS begging for money on the corner with a sign ..
I seriously believe that's all they have left to raise revenue.. there already in the ripoff realm with scam crates take even the cost of costumes now some at 1000 crowns add the16000 crowns for non functional digital content ( cave house ) there grabbing at straws now.. It would be a nail in the coffin for ZOS if they made a craft bag a seperate purchase they need what subs they have to keep going!!

Are the grasping at straws or merely charging the optimal amount people are still willing to pay?

If no one bought those items you would see the prices come down but clearly they are selling.

It's a nice idea, but with free DLC play going away now, crafting bags are pretty much the only reason to sub anymore. No way ZOS is going to give up a bunch of ongoing subs for a one-time payment.

They're removing free dlc play content from ESO +?

That's the thing. The main reason why people kept the eso+ was for the dlc and the crafting bag. The 10% is a joke.

Like they stated eso+ membership aren't getting morrowind with eso+ so a lot dropped there sub. So no the craft bag isn't worth it for 15/month unless they revamp eso+ when morrowind launches. So I don't blame subs like myself that are or will be dropping eso+ because we got shafted hardcore. So I hope they revamp it pretty fast

Make it purchasable via real money (same money as 6month subscription)and only has 150 slots (still with unlimited stack number)(there are like 250+ kinds of mats, so subscription is still better).
Like ZOS said themselves the majority of players are not long-term players, so the permanent purchase will only benefit the loyal players, and ZOS can generate more money from short term players who want to buy craft bag once and for all but turned out didn't stay for over 6 months

Rather a false premise, given that ZOS said no such thing.

I always believed that the time might come after say a couple of years when a much lesser form of the crafting bag would be made available for non-subscribers but I doubt that time is near and I doubt that it will be on the terms speculated here. I also wouldn't be greatly surprised if it never happens.

I don't see ZOS doing something they would lose money on.

However, I am willing to allow them to, along side of subbing, place it into a crown crate with a 0.000000000000000000000001% drop chance.

I sub and I'd love nothing more than to be able to purchase the craft bag. I'd rather a one off fee, than a rolling fee.

30 slots would cost more than 2000crs. They already have the 1000crs per 10 slots model operating on the CS.

They could drop with the sharpened maelstrom inferno staff.
However then people with stamina build would get it at once. One in guild has 3 of them, he only play stamina builds :)

We actually have no way of knowing this. I have no idea if it is true. But i tend to think it isnt. If it was, I would think they would spend more time trying to encourage more people to sub and less time trying to sell $100 houses.

Now if you are playing for free someone is paying for it. Im just not sure most of it comes from the subs.
