The idea is you use Darkflare and then follow it up with something like a heavy attack or a single hitting skill such as radial sweep or the charge skills or something like that. And as for channels, well, it's probably for the best they don't have a constant +20 to them because that'd be broken.

Yep, Flare, Dark Flare, Solar Barrage stacking with itself to accept spamming. After you land first attack next ones will be with +20% damage buff.danno816_ESO wrote: »Khivas_Carrick wrote: »Burning Light procs after the initial hit, so it wouldn't consume the buff from Empower until the main strike has landed. Pretty sure Dark Flare does buff itself now. They use to have it written directly in the tooltip that it does not, but I think that changed with 1.6.
Pre 1.6 things like Dark Flare and Ambush used to buff the entire duration of skills like Sun Fire and Rapid Strikes, not just the initial hit, has this changed with the Empower buff in 1.6? Has this been tested in the current version?

Empower does not buff the dot for bane.
I'm 100%on both of those statements.

you are 100% correct but it does empower the initial hit/s of bane and reflective , as that is counted as separate action, unlike with sweeps or wall of elements. i am 100% certain of this.
