ESO with a controller feels much more adequate to the gameplay than using a keyboard and mouse.

While I like having an mmo on console, being a magicka sorcerer can sometimes be a challenge using the controller. My turn sensitivity is locked (I have it maxed, still slow), and the X Y B buttons are challenging, because you have to stop aiming in order to use them. I've changed my bindings thought for my right stick click to swap weapons, and putting streak on my left stick click, and using A and X for abilitys, and B is my jump. Only thing that sucks about this setup is B becomes your ingame A button.

I think ZOS did a good job with ESO on consoles. Sure some very important things are / were missing (combat text, numbers, buff tracker, text chat etc.) but ESO is totally playable on console as well. The whole combat system is tailored for controller use and that's a reason I switched from PC to PS4 to XOne. ESO on PC just feels flat and boring (for me). The combat system is too shallow and surficial on PC compared to other MMORPGs but on console it's amazing. That's why I stick to my controller and 55" TV instead of my PC with mouse and keyboard.
