People complain that ZOS cant insert a patch or big update without introducing bugs, old and new. And people think they could cover the logistics for implementing a class change that doesnt revert your character to level 1. Laughable.
I have this mag DK High elf that I was already working on moving over to Ice damage as her overall theme. Having those warden Ice skills would fit her more, but I don't necessarily want to build her all over and start again as she is one of my few that are completely done.
I don't know that class change is really any different than changing race or deciding to alter your build in any number of other ways. It still takes time and work to level up the new things you didn't have before.

I wouldn't personally use it. I can just see myself switching to the FOTM class and then sweeping balance changes are made. Then suddenly my previous class becomes the FOTM...
My character, Bjorn, is a Nord Magicka Dragonknight. This is a terrible combination of race and class, but Dragonknight was the best of a bad bunch for him. He hasn't been fun to play since staff attacks stopped scaling from Weapon Power and Weapon Crit in, er, 1.6 or so. I basically only use him to craft, since he is a 9 trait crafter with many known crafting styles.
I now have another character, Arzhela, who is a Breton Magicka Dragonknight. I love playing DK on her.
I could switch Bjorn from Magicka to Stamina. This would fit his race better. But DKs don't have a lot of Stamina abilities. Really I'd have to start running Dual Wield or Two-Handed on him, and at that point he'd become basically identical to my Stamina Nightblade - since Nightblades also lack a lot of Stamina morphs and mostly rely on weapon skills.
Warden, however, would have always been the perfect class for Bjorn. He's a nature-loving Nord healer named after a bear who rides a bear and has a bear cub pet. Had Warden existed, he would have been a nature-loving Nord healer named after a bear who rides a bear, has a bear cub pet and a fierce fighting bear. He would have been All About Bears.
I can't possibly delete Bjorn and remake him as a Warden because he is a 9 trait crafter, so I would like to be able to change his class to what it should have been. If ZOS don't issue a one-time class change token, then I'll have to make Bjorn's identical twin. But it won't be the same.

Nah go ff style change class at will maybe do it at a shrine in main towns and have a cooldown on how often you can change zos also can adjust classes when they see huge changes in dominated classes by adjust i mean ruin everything but atleast when they ruin it you can jump ship rather than reroll
No, but I don't mind if you get one. Zero effect on my gameplay if people switch their main to the newest thing.
I don't think it would be good for the game if it was a thing that could be done repeatedly and any time (FotM gets bad enough in Cyrodill with people chasing the meta) but when they release a new class, sure. Warden up.
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.
