I think several people posting in this thread are missing the point. It's not an issue of entitlement or ownership, it's an issue of manners; more specifically being raised with some.
If I see someone heading toward a node / chest and they are closer than me, I will stop and watch them.

- Do not pick your nose where members of your alliance can see you.
- Do not pick your nose where members of other alliances can see you.
- Do not pick your nose if you can help it.
- If you pick your nose, do not leave worms in there.

I stopped reading here. What do you mean "someone else's node"? I've played this game for well over a year, and never have I've seen a node read "This belongs to Vio'lynne. Paws off!"Jemcrystal wrote: »1) Do not pick someone else's node.

I come into the game with the notion nodes are public to all. If I'm wiping out a few skeevers surrounding a node and someone comes along and plucks it, so be it. I'll waste no time plucking a node if I see someone engaged in battle, because I cannot read the person's mind: what if they're just fighting and don't want the node at all? I'm sure not going to send a message and ask!
This happens so infrequently with me, it's a non-issue. I've taken and had been taken from, but never once did I get upset about it or try to tell people not to do what they do best.
Heck, there have been times I spotted a node and started walking toward it and someone runs past me and gets to it first. My fault for not dashing to it.
I think the reason I feel this way is because as soon as I turn around, look! Another node. These don't seem to disappear forever once they're used up.
Psst: In two areas, I have a path I take when I need to farm. The circles are large enough that when I return, they're back, proving there is no reason to get upset.
Just how I see it.

Replace the word 'node' to 'nose' while reading OP. Much more fun!
