Sorry to tag you again, I know it's not your fault

BUT A WHOLE LOAD OF US HAVE NOW BEEN LOCKED OUT OF THE GAME FOR 5+ HOURS, THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND FIXED.

This isn't an issue that we can't log in due to traffic on the login server, this is WE HAVE NO CONNECTION TO THE SERVER.

It is affecting a lot of people, and even if the team cannot do anything about it right away, we WOULD appreciate some acknowledgement that there is an issue and that it is being looked into. Or if it is an issue with DNS population, at least let us know so we can try again tomorrow or Monday.

PLEASE, WE BEG OF YOU!!!!

One of my friends thinks its another DDoS attack and that is why some people can get on and others can't.

Okay so when I go to the NA log in screen, It says I can not retrieve announcements. If I switch to the EU server, I can retrieve announcements. I was able to log in to my game no problem on EU. I closed out the game and tried to load the NA server and got error 108. Then, I shut the window and retried and got in to the NA server. So, try that maybe?

So, I have no connection. Can't retrieve announcements, no communication between the server and me. HOWEVER, my fiance can log in just fine. Same house. NY.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've tried that multiple times. I've tried flushing DNS a couple of times too. I've tried the 32bit client. Nothing's working, I still get "Could not retrieve announcements" on the login screen, and Error 200 every single time I try to log in.

Tried it about 30 times, I suggest it was just co-incidence for you (I feel good for you that you managed to get in game!) but it is not a fix.

Earlier, he was able to log in by hitting EU, and then switching back to NA. However, this same thing did not work when he logged in to our guild account, soo....

I am UK, but one of my guildmates who I am in contact with via Steam and is also having this issue is in the US, so I don't think it's necessarily relevant.

I tried with and without the launcher, 32 and 64 bit. No luck with any of these. Also I have gotten 'Could not retrieve announcements' continuously.

Note - two notes actually @ZOS_GinaBruno

1- is clearly a ZOS NA PC/Mac server issue --> can login on same computers (both PC and Macbook) and same internet connection (home or local wifi hotspot went just to test) to EU PC/Mac server just fine. Created char & play.

2- ZOS owes me (1) day of ESO Plus membership. Since I am a paying sub, it is reasonable to add (1) day of membership time when the fault is clearly ZOS. Otherwise, we are not only unable to play a game we paid for, we are unable to play with a membership that literally counts down per day the time remaining on monthly dues.

If you can decrement one day of membership when your own servers are not available, then what is ESO Plus paying for?

First three times I opened the launcher it had no picture on the right hand side and after hitting "Play" the announcements could not be retrieved.

Fourth time I opened the launcher the picture on the right loaded up, and after hitting Play the announcements were there and it let me log in just fine.

Not sure this will help anyone, but try closing the launcher, waiting a minute and reopening it. Don't bother trying to go any further until you get the pictures on the right hand side of the launcher.

I am also having the same issue not being able to log into the game. I'm getting a 205 Error. I also noticed the announcements are not loading up from the UN / PW screen.

I paid someone on the EU server to make me a leather jerkin so I wasn't bare-chested. This game is a lot easier when you know WTF you're doing, but damn not having gear is odd.

Well, I toggled between NA and EU out of boredom (super fun Saturday night). Managed to get in. Many in my trade guild are saying the same has been happening to them. And I just got dropped from the server, "cannot retrieve announcements."

I really don't think that they do. We usually get a "we're investigating the issues and have no ETA yet" if they don't know what to do about an issue.

Not on weekend nights. It's more typical that they cease communication until Monday, even with widespread server outages.

I don't know, I remember one time on a weekend when Gina stayed up with us all night while servers were down.

And yeah, I'm losing a lot of hireling mats, and I'm missing doing 48 writs :'(
