It seems 95% of ESO forum posters have no idea what a DDoS is. They just keep assuming it's server hardware, and it's cute.
Ok then if that's the case Zos needs to come out with full disclosure and say its Distributed Denial of Service, we do afterall PAY for this game (at least those of us with ESO+)

You might not realize this, but Gina's job has absolutely NOTHING to do with maintaining the servers, and everything to do with taking what information she is given and passing it on to the community.

The good news - lag was totally gone! The bad, why oh why did they have to take it down just as we were capturing those pretty resources with no zerg to counter that>.> <.<
I'm not in the USA but neither were some of my friends who crashed so not sure why that happened. People said porting out of TF would cause a crash. And the game still assumed the people logged in as it showed the campaigns pop locked. ...ah well, empty Cyrodiil was fun while it lasted lol.1 -
