What kind of new siege would you like to see?

I'd like to see some kind of sapper kit - like a Repair Kit but in reverse - and some placeable spike barriers like they had in the Whiterun siege in Skyrim--something one could throw down and hide behind briefly or use to make choke points. What would you like to see?

Execute siege. Heavy projectiles that are most effective at 25% wall damage. Totally useless but kind of fun.

Craftable barricades, ladders, grappling hooks, stuff you can drop on people climbing, maybe something that requires control of specific resource. Barricades or something related to defending the towns.

A catapult where you put a templar or nightblade inside and shoot them into crowd of enemies.

On a serious note, an actual Seige Tower would be very cool. Make it take 30 seconds to assemble on the field. Activating the door at the base transports you to the top of the structure, but the door operates on a one person at a time function like activating a chest. This would give a legit stratigic option for getting a force through a keep's outer wall. It could also be set up anywhere just to be used as a perch for ranged attackers.

should be more than one and shouldnt be stuck to one simply because "gaem neds balunce" - Its a seige tower for christ sake :P

Group of 4 at the least and it takes time to get you up there with your other 3 players.

I would actually say that if we were to have a seige tower, the walls need to be much bigger.

I also wouldnt mind having defensive siege towers on the keeps at each corner, each one having their own built in balista or trebuchet and they are operated by faction mobs but can be operated by players. If would have to have a reduced angle though, I.e: North tower can only look towards the east and west towers, west can only look to north and south towers etc etc.

Another thing I would love for is infiltration equipment. The very stealthy, very awesome, very epic and possible amazing Siege ladders!

Because climbing up walls is underrated :(

You would obviously be very vunerable while using them. I wish we had these though, you could siege from MG or the sides and then have some stealth NB's or w/e climb up the walls behind. Im honestly getting tired of taking stupid amounts of damage while charging breaches, even if it makes sense, its still tiring.

@xeNNNNN Sorry, maybe I was unclear. I meant one person could go up at a time, so it would take a couple seconds per person, but you could get a full raid up if you were sneaky about it. Basically the same idea as your siege ladders, just with some added versatility to also be stand alone towers.

Right now the options to seige are to go front door or wall and then inner door or postern. I'm ok with leaving the inner keep unbreachable by seige towers, but giving the ability to potentially bypass the outer wall and flag the keep by getting the inner down to 50% would be stratigically interesting. This was in effect to a degree when people could gap close over walls, which sucked because it was an exploit, but a legit means of bypassing the outer wall is warrented, I think.

You can kind of do that already if you get your siege close enough to the outer wall to launch projectiles over it. It generally requires the other side to not realize you're there, though.

Ladders would be cool, but would take a good bit of time to climb or something or one person at a time or only after a keep been flagged and only on outer wall.

@WhiteCoatSyndrome Sure you can 50/50 but you still have to get through the outer either way. A seige tower/ladder would offer a higher risk/reward of being able to focus energy on the inner alone. If a defense was able to thwart the attack, the attackers would be in a bad position because they wouldn't have an open access point from the outer.
