I simply can't play anymore. I'm a PVPer. I only PVE to support my PVP addiction. I'm also married and have kids - and so have my playtime limited - usually to fairly short bursts..

But this is ridiculous.. Logged in yesterday at around 6pm - queue for cyro was at around 170. pottered around doing 'pve stuff' to pass the time for about an hour - then had to go and do RL stuff. But I kept logged in and regularly checked for the pop.. ofc when it came I was busy and missed it...

Logged back in around 8. Queue was around 120.. similar thing - missed another pop... queued again..

Managed to get into Cyro at around 10pm.. That's 4 HOURS after my first try. ofc. working full-time and being a little under-the weather too.. after half-an-hour I was ready for bed..

It was pretty much the same for me the previous day too.

This double-AP has destroyed the game for me. I don't expect I'll bother logging in again this week (apart from maybe 15 mins to run the solo undaunted daily and do a writ or 2).

I also suspect your PVP performance test will have its results totally skewed as you have a totally different set of people playing - and playing in a different way - ie the kids who get in from school between 3 and 4 and hog all the places - obviously they are doing it just to farm AP too (to make the most of the double-AP) and obviously they wouldn't normally be in cyro - or we wouldn't have these queues..

As frustrating as this is for the individual and those in your situation this is very good for the game.

It means there are lots of people playing lots of PvP and giving ZOS lots of data to go over, if they can find ways to mitigate the lag they might even be able to raise population caps in future meaning more access for more people.

Just set your guest campaign to the least populated campaign and play there until your queue for your main campaign pops.

My pvp guild announced a one week break from cyrodil. I feel you . But the worst case is half of the zone is farming bleakers or other keeps for the flat ap bonus. It has been 2 weeks and haven't fixed. 2 days campaign has 10 million ap players...

Yeah hehe, this whole week is just a week off PvP for me as well. The lag got worse for me, the queues are unbearable, and I find I don't really enjoy no CP.

I'm taking the week of ESO for the most part. Posting on forums during the day and writs in the evening then playing Torment: Tides of Numenera.

Also for any of you old enough to have played Planescape Torment, then you really should look into Tides of Numenera. I'm five hours in and it feels just like PST in style and story.

Planescape Torment... That's one that passed me by - but I do remember hearing a lot of good things about it..

Myself, I just picked up Startcraft 2 recently just for the rare instances I don't feel like playing an MMO.. I guess I'll be giving that a good go this week.

I have the same problem OP, worst part?

When you get in you sometimes get greeted by the Login Screen during a huge battle you just fought for 15minutes or more and miss the tick, also when you get back in you get greeted by that very same login screen again.

So I am happy for everyone who are getting grand overlord ez mode. All I wanted was to get some nice titles for my alts / play PvP with friends

I'm in the exact same situation as you too, OP.
I don't care so much for ranks and APs (I'm currently level 29, but in terms of skills, I see myself as, say, a seasoned sergeant), so I'm just thinking, let's just let the kids have fun, it's only for a week.

Clearly logging into Scourge... go to a different campaign?? I played Haderus and it was BOOMING - same with Skull, and same even with the Non-Vet campaign Blackwater...

Even Azura Star had a few in. The good thing was that a lot of the players in there had never obviously PVP'd before, and we easy to kill - and they'll probably never return since they spent half their play time laying around watching others, or on horseback trying to find action... lol. So it will settle down in a few days I'm sure.

I'm one of those PvE visitors to the PvE world - might finally get my rank up enough to unluck Caltrops.

I went to Haderus with the expectation of killing a few of the miners the forums are complaining about, only to find myself in several pitched battles after each other. Ended up having lots of fun, and will certainly come back once my character is at max CP and has the gear I want.

So, PvPers, see this as a sort of Black Friday rush. I agree life's worse for you than normal, but the sale might draw some new blood. You shall see me again. At first as easy prey, but I'll eventually give you some fun battles.

I'm still playing this week because although we have the horrible queues on NA, we don't have the ridiculous outpost flipping, but I am installing the new Torment now because I'm pretty sure I only turned into an actual conscious human being on the day I brought PST home from a long-defunct game store

The week is halfway over and a lot of the double AP crowd will be gone after that. I'll agree that the queue times are painful, and although I haven't run into any lag (not sure if CP is the culprit or not, I'm skeptical), the quality of play has definitely dropped on Trueflame. I'm no PVP pro by any means but it definitely feels "Blackwater Blade-y" with unrepaired walls, armchair generals broadcasting their every move in zone chat and really sad attempts at keep defense.

Since this double AP crap I haven't even been able to get into the game to play at all. I am stuck sitting on the loading screen before character selection. I've sent all types of emails and repair reports. It's frustrating - I do have a PvP guild and was hoping to maybe get in a little play with others who are still learning. But THIS is crazy.

This is only for a week, but I think you do highlight an issue with this testing!

We now have everyman and his Noob in the campaigns, so the behaviour is not the same as normal, as the Newbies to PVP will play completely differently using different skills and tactics.

So I don't think this is a like for like test....

I know 800 player that are literally on the edge of leaving the game bc of its current state. Zo$ makes bad decisions on a regular basis then ignores broken elements since release while promoting additional content that they want you to additionally pay for beyond subscription. This PvP test is a redundant joke that any preschooler could had thought themselves out of in advance. The dedicated player base is growing tired like the gentleman in OP.

    I feel ya.

I think it does. You have to have controls in a test.. you keep some factors the same - adjust others. They already know Azura runs better than TF. The suspect is CP. They try to prove that by turning it off in TF to see if it runs the same way as Azura. If TF still lags - then it isn't CP - its something to do with the way players are playing there.. bigger zergs, more large-scale 3-way fights, more proc-sets, more ball-groups.. could be any of those - or none.. The devs are hoping that people are playing the way they usually do for the duration of this test to try to keep that a constant. - in fact they asked us to.. But obviously that isn't happening.

I'm not complaining about it, but on the PC EU, I've had big problems logging in in the evenings.

Trueflame was pointless trying, I was something like 180 in queue when I joined, and still 120 in queue 3/4 of an hour later. My guild had a PvP event so decided to queue for Haderus, still took about 20+ mins to get in.

Not a huge deal for us, but if you have limited playtime, I can see it being very annoying

Do you really need to see the list? It actually wasn't an exaggeration because it's two whole guilds as well as many of my YouTube and twitch watchers. A reply like yours is kind of silly and just derails the OPs complaint. That in itself is actually an additional complaint that I hear from many others. That they can't come to the forums without ridiculous people reacting silly to their responses. It's like people purposely come here to troll or Zo$ pays people to.
