Hi guys just a discussion to see what nirnhoned weapons have to offer considering the price not many use it everybody uses sharpened but were can it be used effectively or on what
Self-proclaimed Vampire Lord, or in this case, Blood Sion. º,...,º
The net profit of sharpened outpaces nirnhoned but nirnhoned still works until you get sharpened the base damage increase nirnhoned isnt terrible bit for the best results you want to bypass enemy defenses
Currently, as it stands right now, Nirn is good for some limited PvE situations, but even then, I have seen DPS go up switching to Sharpened. So, this thread pretty much sums up the current view on the trait:
Basically, it is used for learning all 9 traits and not much else right now. Balance changes are coming, so perhaps it will change. So, do your research on the trait now while it is out of favor and relatively inexpensive.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"
It can be more effective than Sharpened in the situation where you do not need the penetration from Sharpened to effectively reduce the enemy's defenses to 0 (or very close).
The price does not prevent people from using it, it just doesn't perform as well as Sharpened or Precise even. It's expensive because the items to research it come from once-only quests per character and the material for crafting it is much much more rare than any other trait material.
If you quote someone, and intend for them to see what you have said, be sure to Mention them with @[insert name].
The issue with nirnhone weapons is the trait increases the weapon/spell damage contributed only from the weapon by a percentage. It does not increase weapon damage from other sources such as armor set bonus.
