I have attempted bug reporting this topic. I have attempted sending tickets for help. I have posted in the forums on this topic. I'm a subscriber, I have spent plenty money on this topic. Customer service is not responding, players don't know the answer. There is obviously not a bias here against a non-subscriber going on, but the frustration remains. This quest line does not move forward. I have abandoned this quest until I was blue in the face. Getting to this point in the quest takes plenty of time as well, compounding the annoyance.

The Phase of the quest I am on is where you accompany Zeira to the Palace. At the wedding ceremony, a mysterious individual speaks to everyone. At this point Zeira walks away, and will not speak to me. A disembodied arrow remains where she once stood where I had accompanied her. Since I have done this quest before to success on other characters in the past, I know that at this point I'm supposed to go and rob a key. I go to rob the key however and I am given a message that I can't because I already have one. When I look in my quest inventory there is no key. Something is broken about this quest, and this problem remains. If anyone knows a suggestion that works I would appreciate it. I'm getting tired of banging my head against the wall on this one. It shouldn't take 5 months to get a reasonable response on something like this which was sold as an expansion. I paid for a functioning product. I'd like to add I've tagged another post by a fellow as well that never got answered on the topic and linked it to ZOS people. I'm really hopeful something is done about it this time.

This link contains past information going back over a year with this problem. Its not fixed people and it needs to be. I'm tired of getting the runaround. Thieves Guild has been around for over a year now.

i had issues with this quest too zeira was completley invisible, i abandoned/repeated to no avail

so i logged out while still in the palace (without abandoning the quest) and when i came back the following day the quest worked and zeira did what she was suposed to do

when i returned i had been kicked out of the palace & had to re start the quest. i am not sure how long it was between quitting & reattempting

i have no idea if it will work for you, or if there were other variables that i have forgotten/was unaware of (it happened to me about 6 months ago )

@puffytheslayer Thanks for the tip. I think I tried staying in the map a dozen times or more, but I'll try to just sit at the mission location and wait this time while watching a movie. Maybe the server just takes hours to recognize that you've guided her to safety...

It seems like there was a way to bypass having to steal a key, which involved having to talk to a certain NPC who asks you what your favorite wine is. My memory is a little foggy, but I think you have to answer correctly or steal him some wine to progress the quest if you went with that option.

As I have done the quest on a number of characters already, I recollect what you are talking about. I think the core issue is that the Zeira portion of this quest does not clear when it is supposed to for some unknown reason.

Had this issue waaay back on Xbox One NA.

I left the area but didn't quit the quest. I literally ran around for weeks and came back after a patch update and it worked. Not sure why it's doing it to you but there was not a fix in patch notes during this time.

The one thing I did recall is making sure I didn't have on my costume but did have on the quest costume so to speak.

They are the same as the crown store ones.

I just did this quest the other day on my magdk. I didn't have any of these issues. I'm on PC/NA. I completed this quest near thieves guild launch on a nb as well.
Sometimes if you have invisible npc, logging out and back in sometimes helps. Or leaving the area rendered and rentering can trigger the render to work. But the key issue, IDK what to tell you.

I've gotten response from customer service about this. They said to keep looking on the web for updates. I'm wondering how bad the issue is? Really hope they can fix this.

The guy who loans you the suit you wear says to stay away from red wine, but if you say white wine the guy who you talk to does not want anything to do with you and you do not get a second chance.

I had this problem because I had skipped a step in the process. I restarted the quest and CAREFULLY did each and every step, without skipping anything, not even the "find crappy outfit" thing, and managed to get through it.

I do admit I have have been having issues with Ziera being..shy. This only applies to her, and no other NPC for the Thieves Guild. When she is invisible a relog to change the server 'shard' usually has her out of hiding.

She was missing to me when I was doing it, but I went about it by determining Magnifica Falorah's location via the waitress I think? By giving her some stolen Summerset Hills wine from a nearby locked chest.

Then I pickpocketed a key from one of the servers near the kitchen doors. When I used the door it let me right in along with some comments from Ziera.

Based on testing with a friend, we believe we have figured out the source of this bug.

This quest chain has multiple “Talk to Zeira” steps. The pointer to the “Talk to Zeira” step triggered after the escort (and Nicholas reveal) is pointing to the “Talk to Zeira” step before the escort and reveal.

This bug is specific to a particular character who can bug the quest for others in their party.

My friend’s quest would never bug unless I was with him in the instance. It bugged every time I was with him and every time I went in alone – including times I logged out after getting past it with the steps below.

Re-logging, re-loading, dropping the quest, repairing the client, disabling add-ons, waiting for a server restart, picking different dates had absolutely no impact.

If you get this bug, log out at the bugged step and perform the 5 steps below.

Here is how we fixed it:
1. The bugged player gets to the bugged step (stuck at “Escort Zeira to the Palace”)
2. The bugged player exits the instance and joins a party with the good player
3. The good player goes into the instance alone and advances the quest to the point where they get the quest marker on Zeira at the table (“Talk to Zeira” after the escort) but they do not talk to Zeira
4. The bugged player enters the instance. They will get the “Talk to Zeira” step and the good player will seem like they are in another instance until the bugged player approaches them at the table.
5. When the bugged player talks to Zeira, they will be at the proper step. They can then advance.

You can verify that you are past the bug when you get the right text when you talk to Zeira at the table.

When my friend left, I got stuck at the “Enter the Kitchen” step until we did the 5 steps above again and he went with me. I also got stuck at the “Attend the Wedding” step after he left. It seems like Zeira keeps reverting back to the step before the escort.

I never got rid of the bug. My friend was able to help me over the gaps but it appears that if Zeira is bugged for a character, she stays bugged.

We tested this fix 5 times and it worked every time.

I would like to add this bug is highly obnoxious and has wasted many hours of my time. I wish more people would complain. The whole questline is broken. My friend said she didn't use Quen as a companion and that she felt this might be the cause for the problem. Would this perhaps be an issue? Do people with Qhen seem to get the glitch?

This right here. I did this quest on an alt about two hours ago. This is exactly the steps I used and it worked fine, first time.

Edit: I used Quen as my partner for the wedding.

I did this quest just yesterday. I didn't get the bug. I'm on the PC, NA server and used the black lion dude as my wedding guest. After reading this, I feel like I was lucky it all went smoothly.

Have gone thru that content with multiple chars. Each time did the wines waitress kind of things. it is rather unclear as i recall what to do - uncharacteristically so - so it does turn into talk with folks.

however, never did it while grouped.

This quest still appears to be broken and I have seen no news in the Patch Notes.
