Its completely random, as it doesn't happen all the time, and when it does most times closing and reopening the dye station fixes it.

Not the case here, this happens 100% of the time regardless of app closure, restarting ps4.
I even tried it on a different T.V. Same result as before.

Yep. I was always under the assumption that because the camera angled right into the path of the fire in the background that it lost focus for some reason.

This would be a very odd workaround.
But I have eso plus so I like to dye my costumes so that would be counterproductive in my case
