Im gonna go ahead and guess that the Warden is going to be a rather bland character with its only redeeming quality being that it can summon a bear. Once the novelty of the bear wears off most will return to their normal characters and the Warden will be a "newbie" class that typically is picked up by new players that havent yet figured out the class is nothing special.

The Warden class is actually going to be really popular among the Archer community as that is the design behind the dps tree animal compainions, Rich lambert can be quoted saying " I hope players can make a pure bow dps out of it" since the play stlye I was missing.

The other two trees will be for healing(Druid) and Tanking but no to the level of DKs or Templars.

Additionally each time the warden is advertised its a redguard wearing medium armor.

No, more recently they said there'd be no new weapons added.

It's a pity if they are mixing premade groups with solo player queues, probably won't even try battlegrounds this way.
I doubt they will be keeping them separate. I can see people who try it through a solo queue quitting after a few matches against pre-made groups with great builds and lots of experience.

    Silt striders confirmed!! aw yiiiiiiis!!

I wasn't expecting them to work as transport too like in TES III, so that's also nice.

Im with you, I did a thread ago 7 days regarding this problem, they really need to sperate solo queue and team queues

For people(like me) that would rather not watch this entire thing if they don't have to. Here are the important points(things that matter to me) that I took away.

    Battlegrounds:
    1. You can have premade groups.
    2. There is no new currency. It uses AP. Ap is rewarded at the end of the match not during, so if you quit you get no AP.
    3. There will a 10-49 queue.
    4. Game modes are capture the flag, team death match, capture, domination(four point capture).
    5. Killing blow gives you the credit for the score in team death match.
    6. Will last at most 15 minutes
    7. In capture the flag you actually pick up the flag when you click on it like a scroll.
    8. Not entirely sure yet, but capturing a flag in domination will take around 10 seconds.
    9. No NPCs in current game modes.
    10. Alliance points do not go towards Cyrodiil leaderboards.
    11. You earn medals based on what you do in a match and that will translate into leaderboard scores. Each game mode has unique medals.
    12. There will be weekly rewards.
    13. Undecided on whether CP will be enabled.

    Warden:
    12. Described by dev as "Ranger/Druid."
    13. "It's a different style in the sense that it is more of a support style. Like it's got a lot of armoring/survivabilty and a lot of healing. It's more group synergistic than anything we have done before."
    14. "You have to have the bear ultimate double barred if you want it up all the time."

    Balance:
    1. "We're really looking at Balance Hard so expect so more changes there."

    DLC/General:
    1. Planning for two DLCs this year after Morrowind.
    2. You can't join the Morag Tong.
    3. Biggest PvE Zone to date.

EDIT: Updated with stuff I missed

You can have premade groups of four but not groups of twelve so you can't fight your friends =(

I am pretty sure the Warden can be as effective as a tank / healer as DKs or Templars are. The Warden healing skills look amazing and we haven't seen the passives yet (for any of the skill lines).

    So, more nerfs?

Would make sense to me. There are currently a ton of invincible builds that four people just won't be able to bring down. Battlegrounds will be boring if the score is 0-0-0 after 15 minutes because nobody was capable of dying. They will have to do something about that.

While I agree that PvP could have some "non-gear-dependent" variant for those who want to try it (including myself!)
I understand that 2 people going to an Olympiad should not be equal if 1 have been training 5 years, while the other have been eating popcorn during that time...

    "no-CP mode" = exists
"no-Gear mode" = I'm ok with that as an OPTION, but not to be abused ...

Those who have grinded deserve to be more powerful.

two people sitting down to play chess wont be "equal" either if they have different levels of training and experience... but the better player doesn't get an extra rook ot to have his bishops also move vertically and his knights horizontally one square because he has been playing longer. he has to take those additional years and win with them on an even field.

in competition after competition in game after game after game, where equipment is combined with experience and physicality - the rules for competitive play put massive constraints on the gear that can be used so that it is in fact the training and preparation and expertise of the person that is the deciding factor.

your olympiad is more akin to the difference between a player in eso who ha splayed tons of pvp, has his rotations down and muscle memory as his friend and basically reflexes and hand-eye down to a tee.

of course, as long as their are private custom add-ons - the idea of it being skill v skill is always going to be an amusing facade.

In an MMORPG, the character is the gear.

The character is the gear, not your armor is your gear. Your khajiit is your gear. (Edit: in a battleground, duel, or other competitive part of the game)
