    @KaiVox22

There are plenty of stamblades out there that do insane damage and with rally/Vigor combined with a vitality pot have insane burst heals if the cp is aligned correctly. So I'm assuming it's either your gear or you have low CP.

@PeaNutShotz Probably a combination of both. I never change my CP for pvp, I don't run proc sets and I use crappy pots. And I'm **** at stamblade

    ESO: Play how you want!

Unless it's a Nightblade, then you just gank. That is all.

Light armor magblade is in a good spot right now.
Medium armor nongank NB is pretty terrific if played well.
Heavy armor NB is kinda niche vaible.

What exactly do you think a NB can´t do?

you just described sorcerer, dragonight, and templar in that paragraph.
we nightblades or a new [assassin class] should be allowed to have that as well.
at current, we dont and "You other classes Do".

Wrong. Dragonknight has no burst at all. None. Templar has great sustained but lower damage output and lower burst compared to to other classes (or it is supposed to, due to some balancing issues Templar's damage output is still too high in PvP). Sorc has great burst, good sustain, but there's counterplay: Shield Breaker or Torug's Pact enchanted with Oblivion Damage.
There's no counter play to NB's burst. If some NB ganks you, and you are alone, you just die.

Yeah? That's how it's meant to be, Assassins are skilled in quick and swift kills. Putting that in gameplay terms, Assassins are Gankers who rely on burst damage. Assassins are not meant to win drawn out fights.

while i agree with that being pigeonholed into ganking is a trash class design, we can go toe to toe with other classes with a bit of luck or cheese but as it is right now everyones too tanky to actually "assassinate", either we run 1 gank build which is blobs or we look for not as skilled players, i suggest some buff to stamblades damage like a 10% dmg increase to all nb abilites after each kill rewarding the quick and swift kills or actually giving us an escape, cloak sucks, and image is too obvious to use most of the time against multiple players OR heavy armor stops being so good to the point where even magic classes walk around in it with no hindrance

im not saying stamblade is in dire need of help, we have our weaknesses and so does every other class which is the way it should be, but our intended purpose is not being fulfilled

You can't have a real assassin class in a PvP game, the complaints would be way too high. The nightblade class stills functions and is pretty good if you play to its strengths. You have to make sure you control the fight and keep the fight at a very fast pace and you'll be rewarded. That playstyle is dying now because people are just so tanky now they reset a fight at will. Right now I'm running a high damage light armor magblade without annulment. I'm just tired of having to play my magblade like a sorc or a tanky DPS in heavy armor if that's how I wanted to play I would play one of those classes. That's pretty much the only problem I have with nightblades. If you build right it can be strong but you have to build it like other classes and it will never be as good as the other classes if played this way.

Stam nightblade are what you're describing.
Not easy to play but very good 1vx and killing quickly if played right.

I run a bosmer Vampire stamblade with only 18-19k health in cyrodiil. So I'm squishy as but I'm a killing machine and when you learn how to kite, los, sustain, kill/prioritise targets etc it's very rewarding.

Bs, i play my nb in heavy armor and ww as a brawler, the fast Ulti gain and regen passives make them very potent. They are pretty good for ganking don't have to be played in that way

this is all about a true assassin class that was created in morrowind with the Morag Tong as it's base.
i refer to this thread linked here below as a reference ...
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/3750839/#Comment_3750839

nightblade class has some things that hint at being an assassin, but the fact is nightblade class is just not capable of fighting toe to toe with other classes
both in PvP as well as PvE.
nightblade simply does not have the sustain in both pvp and pve.
    the invisibility needs rebuilt
    ect ect ect ...

please, make a proper assassin class for morrowind launch.
the morrowind release right inline with and along side of the morag tong assassin storyline.
we are constantly taken out of stealth and killed within a few seconds, as well as many other class skills simply fail.

    Note:
everyone keeps mentioning Magicka skills here on this thread
that is not what i am refering to, refering to stamina nightblade class. no sap skills need be mentioned here.
i dont use that skill, niether do the stamina nightblades i am refering to.

Magika or stamina or irrelevant to the discussion of a class. It's only relevant to a build.

Your thread is about a a class and the thread is for discussion.

Regardless, magika NBs and stamina NBs can both do well in PvE and PvP with the right build and a player who knows how to work it. Especially with tanking and an assassin would be a ganker.

I'm not, and there are classes I'd much prefer than a Nightblade 2.0, just saying if its brings the cash to ZoS they may introduce a new class annually or so

No idea which game you're talking about. In ESO:
"Nightblades are adventurers and opportunists with a gift for getting in and out of trouble. Relying variously on stealth, blades, and speed, Nightblades thrive on conflict and misfortune, trusting to their luck and cunning to survive."

Stealth, blades and speed. It's was written right there and was there since release. Very misleading and some people got stuck playing something that turned out to not be what it was advertised as. But then you wont' redo all achievements, so you just learn to accept it for what it is at the moment.

Ever played Morrowind? Cuz that's where I got that description from :p

In every main game that featured classes, the Nightblade has always been advertised as a Spellcaster that specializes in stealth. Basically, they're mages first and whatever they use their magic for (thievery, infiltration, assassination,...) second.

The class description in this game does not specifically state that they are assassins either: just Stealth, Blades and Speed. That could mean Assassin, but it could also mean Thief or Rogue etc...

A Nightblade tank does a fantastic job going toe to toe with enemies. I know because I play one and its probably one of my toughest characters.

Please bear something in mind: If you are stamina based you can still use magicka. You can still use potions. I recommend highly the blur skill. Nightblades innately have great damage bonuses and fantastic resource returns. Obviously Dragon Knights are more built for tanking, but I fail to see the complaint. No class recovers resources like Nightblades. If you want a shield use a bone shield. Will it be perfect? No way Jose. Use Dodge Roll liberally as well, you can resource regenerate better than anyone. The reality is there is a spectrum of High damage and Resiliency.
