Maybe I'm out of sync with current gaming marketing but I expected a "gameplay" trailer to show more actual gameplay and less flashes of what assorted landscapes might look like...if they don't get changed too much in the final stages of development. I suppose they just meant this one is actually using the in-game graphics instead of CGI they're only capable of doing in a video.

Are you on crack?! Of course it's not a new game and of course you're characters won't be deleted. It's an expansion.

There are 2 versions of Morrowind. One is a complete edition which includes both the base game and the expansion. This allows you to create a brand new account.

The other is an upgrade edition which is just Morrowind (and is therefore cheaper). This can only be used to add the expansion onto an existing account, which means you will get to keep all your characters.

So if you want to keep your existing account just make sure you buy the Morrowind Upgrade - which is the less expensive version.

I do not think that is right there is a special pre order bonus version for 60 bucks it may include the base game but I am pretty sure you can add it to your current account.

Yes you can just add the code to your existing account. You don't "lose" your account or have to make a new one.

I believe you did. I preordered the upgrade which is only $40. You might want to try and find a way to cancel that preorder and do it over again and be a bit more careful about it.

Am I the only one annoyed by the whole "Return to Morrowind..." stuff? We already have (part of) Morrowind in the game (Stonefalls, Deshaan, Bal Foyen), this is a return to Vvardenfell. I understand the game was called Morrowind and they're playing on people's nostalgia (myself included), but still.

    There are five, in fact.

    physical collector's edition
    digital collector's edition
    digital standard edition
    digital collector's upgrade
    digital standard upgrade

The upgrades cost $60 and $40, respectively.

No, *raises hand* at the very least it's you and me. I keep telling myself that as long as they keep the incorrect nomenclature to the advertising and it's correct in the actual zone, I'll be happy.

I decided not to mention the collectors edition because I didn't want to complicate things, although I can see that leaving it out could be confusing if people are referring to the different versions by price alone. But I think that's already confusing because the prices are different depending on which currency you're using. To me the upgrades cost £50 and £30 and I have no idea what they are in different currencies.

But anyway, the point is if someone already has ESO and they want to buy Morrowind without paying extra to buy the base game all over again they should get a version with Upgrade in the name. (Which should cost less than the equivalent non-upgrade version.)

Yes you can use the full version to upgrade an existing account, but you're basically paying more to get the exact same thing so there is no reason to do that. The one exception is the physical collectors edition which comes with the art book and Dwemer colossus statue, because there is no Upgrade version of that.

If you buy the expansion, does it count for both servers on the same account? I currently play on the PC EU server (I am in the US), but the lag has gotten so bad that I am now starting over on the US server. If I buy the upgrade (or whatever version), will it count for both PC EU and PC US, or would I have to buy two if I want it for both?
