Fireplaces and Provisioning in Houses

Do I have to have a house with a fireplace, if I want to do cooking/provisioning there? Or no?

    You need to buy a cooking station from either a guild trader or master writ vendor I believe.

    Does anyone know what they look like?

    You can also buy a provisioning station with crowns from the in-game editor. They look identical to regular provisioning stations
