Done it with multiple gear sets. Lich Spinners should be plenty of everything. Infernal is my personal favorite for VMSA. Any part in particular giving you trouble?

I pretty much just stand on the first platform with my back towards the other platforms. This way infernal Guardian will always let you know when A troll is playing donkey kong. Then I just stack all the adds on the platform Ult and Aoe everything. The tighter the group the better since Infernal is an Aoe. If needed move to the backside of the platform to bring the range adds together. Wall of element the adds coming to you from the other platforms in the water. For me it's all about bringing the adds to platform 1 since you can shield stack through almost all damage. I do run hardened&harness. Are the rounds giving you problems or the boss?

The boss is supposed to break them at 75% 50% and then timed on the 3rd one. I use overload for mines. Before the boss starts I drop mines since they last awhile. Using the speed platform first. Apply dots and frags when ready. Move to the left side of the platform to bring the two adds closer when they appear. Save ultimate. Aoe all three until the boss rages. Quickly get off platform/grab sigil if needed. Move to healing sigil platform. Move to the far side to bring adds closer. Kill add first then apply everything to boss. Move to the sigil on the platform then ultimate(suggest destro for this) it should kill all the adds and rage the boss to break this platform. Move to third platform closest to the 2nd platforms. Attack boss only on this phase because he will rage quicker. If your still finding it difficult it could be those sets considering they don't have the best DPS but should be plenty. Just make sure you actively try and proc Infernal. Not sure how well it does if you are on PC with the nerfs.

A lot of the times I actually don't even kill the ads. Sometimes the archer from the first platform follows me all the way to the last one. What system/server?

VMA is the one place I prefer to build for overload. I did my flawless with a front bar fire staff (5 TBS, 4 elegant, 2 Llambris) and back bar DW (5TBS, 5 elegant, 2 Llambris). To pull that off you wear 4 pieces of TBS armor and 1 weapon on each bar and elegant jewelry, one piece of armor, and one back bar weapon. Then you overload from your back bar and just melt stuff. Julianos is a perfectly fine substitute (better for score) but I wanted the stats from TBS for a flawless run.

Bars I ran:
Destro:Force pulse, blockade, bound armaments, inner light, hardened ward, meteor (never cast it)

DW: liquid lighting, power surge, dark conversion, boundless storm, bound armaments, overload.

Overload: liquid lightning, power surge, ward, inner light, bound armaments.

Normally I run frags on the front bar, but for flawless I like the front bar shield. You also don't need inner light on your back bar so you have a flex. Dark conversion is pretty nice for sustain if you spam a lot of shields. For speed runs, that's where I run ward. I also try to make my overload bar totally self sufficient. If you get In Trouble, swap to your overload and alternate between spamming light attacks and shields. Also boundless storm is very underrated in there. Keep it up. Lastly, power surge is life. 9 times out of 10 when I die, i realize a let it run out.

Agreed. That is the one fight in the game where you can overcook the boss and get in trouble. Now you certainly can do a straight burn on him, but its risky. I have successfully killed him with all 8 adds on the screen, but its not recommended.
