Its not done for mob xp its done for the completion xp for the dolmen. Its the same being in a group or solo but when you in a big group you dont really have to do anything if you dont want. Perfect if you have chores to do around the house. Just every five min or so you have to go to another dolmen.
Titles from Dolmen farming:
1) Enemy of Coldharbor (Destroy 250 Dark Anchors)
2) Daedric Lord Slayer (Kill all of Molag Bals Generals)

You get more xp the first time, however at lest on later tries it scales with number of people.scorpiodog wrote: »I only farm the same Dolmen for a long period of time for Jewelery - and then only if there is also a Wold Boss nearby to farm. Then I go back and forth. Otherwise to me it's time wasted. Dolmen - WB - Dolmen - WB. Then when I got 3 purple Jewelry I go farm the Public Dungeon in the Zone.
If I want to Grind FG the most efficiently I do Imperial City on a low pop server and get Telvar as a bonus.
As far as XP goes, don't you get the less XP for doing the Dolmen the second time? So if I want to Grind XP I just go through a Zone and do all the Dolmens, World Bosses and Public Dungeons Once and either decon or sell the equipment I don't want.
In my Opinion farming Dolmen for XP is either for people who are really lazy or not very good and need help to survive.
