Can't play ESO without disk after pre ordering morrowind [SOLVED]

Pre ordered ESO Morrowind via the xbox live marketplace. It is the bundle with the add-on, the pre order bonus content, and a copy of the base game itself (it literally has the base game underneath "in this bundle"). I purchased this particular bundle as I lost my disc and I considered it easier than turning my house inside out trying to find it.

Bought the bundle, clearly saw all the content (including the base game) in the download queue of my xbox...but when I try to play the game it asks if I own the game. If it tells you this, it means you either have to put the disk in or buy the game in the Xbox store. I lost my disc so I can't do the former, and I literally just did the latter.

What the hell? I understand that I bought it as part of a pre order bundle, but the base game is already out! Surely I should be allowed to play it now?

I paid an extra £20 for this bundle specifically so I wouldn't have to find my disc. If I knew that I wouldn't be able to play the base game, then I would've pre-ordered the expansion on its own.

EDIT: Solved. Cancelled the pre-order, ordered the least expensive bundle instead (same stuff but without digital copy) and bought a digital copy separately. Ironically it was actually less expensive this way (saved a penny).

This seems to me an issue with XBL and their DRM check specifically but hopefully someone here can help

You might put in a ticket with Xbox support too at the same time. Am guessing that's where the help would come from.

Good idea. I'll see if I can reach them.

If anyone else comes by......the Morrowind bundle includes the base game but this isn't available until 6/1/17 as it's a bundle all under one sku

I have digital ESO now for Xbox and plan on buying the physical Morrowind. I'm trying to figure out if I will now need to play with a disk or if there will be a download code in the Morrowind physicial box that will let me keep playing without a disk.
I don't always drink Skooma, but when I do I go to the Southwall Corner Club. May you walk on warm sands my friends.

Good question, I have the same instance. Bought the digital download and purchased the physical CE .....

They did say the you can use the physical code on your existing ESO account, but no mention is you need to use a disk from that point forward. I hope we do not need to put in the physical disk to play the game .....

    Two options:

The physical version would either contain a add-on code like other games. Destiny is one example and the base game will still be disc only

I believe this is the likely scenario as the other digital bonuses wouldn't be on the disk drm as that would not be good to give any account who had the disc, all pre-order digital bonuses.

    OR

The disc will have the base game and drm for the add-on which would require the disc to access Morrowind

Option two would stink, fingers crossed it is option one. The reason I did the digital download for XB1 release was because the disk changing is a pain in the rear end ......
