Agreed.Technically... They aren't duplicates...

And I really don't see the problem here... if two costumes come out based on another so they get two sales for the price of one design, just buy the one you like better.
There, problem solved.
Its not like we otherwise would get two different designs - we'd just get one, peroid.

Technically they are the same outfit, you can even retexture them to look the same.
Or just remove costumes all together, 99% of them are lame anyway, all this victorian look makes me wanna puke, it has nothing to do with TES setting + there is no player effort to actually craft/get something that looks okish. Changing costume animation on players is annoying aswell :P

The design of the armor and the terrible designed of monster helmits requires a costume to cover up your shame.

To me, I hate wearing malubeth shoulder cause it looks ugly so I use disguises or costumes.

I would like more options for robes. We have 1 robe in the game, the Dark Brotherhood one. What about some cool crown store robes for magicians? Or are they not skimpy enough?

Polymorphs are nice, I do like the Xyvkin polymorphs and the pumpkin spectre polymorph. Besides that, everything else looks very lame. I'm no artists but I could probably do a better job than most of the artwork put on the costumes list.
To answer OP's curiousity, there are indeed more duplicate costumes with different colours.
More paying attention, less regrets paying crowns!TheShadowScout wrote: »Agreed.Technically... They aren't duplicates...

But then, you buy a costune you later find out you already own another one. That looks just like it.
