Crafted Set Idea - The Connoisseur

This set is a simple one at that, similar to the Twice Born Star in all except it allows a Food bonus and a Drink bonus to be active at the same time. Any thoughts?

    It would be a underutilized set and only useful for leveling at best. Bad for PvE for sure.

    can already think of cool builds with something like this myself

    For PvE I can already see the threads of people complaining they were kicked out of a dungeon group because of wearing this gear (the food and drink buff would show onPC).

    There is already food food that gives max stats and regen in the game. The set would be so lame it is not worth the effort for Zos.

    Edit, but heck, if you guys want weak set bonuses, hey Zos, please design more junk for crafting.

    True, there are Foods that give Max Primary Stat, and Max Primary Stat recovery. Take those, and then add in Drinks that add increased Recovery of your desired stat. It'd be an alternative to the Amber Plasm set that also gives more flexibility, while still also allowing the Amber Plasm set viability since it has Spell oriented 2-4 item bonuses.

    I dont think you guys understand the power of such a set. This would easily be BiS for almost every PvP build. Just taking the values of green food for a certain resource would outperform every other max stat set like draugr hulk or necropotence.

    True, hadn't thought of that. My mind is still focused on vMA. While it would still be gated behind a 9 trait requirement, are there ways in which you think this issue could be rectified? Perhaps reducing the effectiveness of the bonuses of the Food/Drink buff by 25%?

    It would be overpowered. I don't understand the previous replies underestimating it. For example, a blue bi-stat food gives about five thousand in each stat.

    While im not sure about the exact values, a certain % reduction to either one or both buffs could certainly make the set a balanced option. Getting the right % will be very tricky though, and im not sure i trust ZOS enough to get the numbers in a spot where it will be neither broken OP nor pointlessly weak.

    Generally speaking however I actually quite like the idea of such a set. It could provide interesting choices for more balanced max stat builds and has interaction with bone pirate and green pact.

    It's because people immediately think "IT DOESNT GIVE DAMAGE OR CRIT ITS POOP!" They don't look at the big picture. You could hit ridiculous stat pools and have ridiculous regen with a set like this.

    Would it be useful in PvE? Who knows. Would it be useful in PvP? Without a doubt.

    im still waiting for a crafted set where the 2 pc set gives weapon damage for Stam builds, Magicka builds already have Torug's Pact with a 2 pc spell damage, so this should have been done already..

    Also Jewelry crafting needs to be implemented already for Craftable sets..

    Aren't there sets for both "if food is in effect get xxx" and "if drink is in effect get xxx"

    not that this is conclusive one way or the other but thought i would ask.

    but since some of the recent foods and drinks blur the lies between recovery and stat gains - i dont see this as cut and dry. The gold bloody mary and purple witchmothers give max magica and health as DRINKS and if you can merge them with foods that also give max health and magica - can get dicey.

    When considering folks need to keep in kind food for max stats and drink for stat regen is a thing of the past.

    Sounds fun. A good beginner set maybe to get folks thinking about synergies. Probably useless for meta but tbh there are always only a handful of sets in the meta anyway.
