What, you don't like all your characters ending up light pink when you apply the deepest shade of red to the armor? And yeah, the armor dying consistency is bad. Some sets have it worse than others, and other sets even have individual pieces which have different shades to them (e.g. dye the chest white, it's white, but the arms are pinkish-white).
It's frustrating to no end.
Shine should be controlled through the dye, not the armor piece.
To some degree. Glass heavy is just near impossible to dye nicely. This is one of the reasons I quite using the motif. I love how it looks, but unless I want to look pastel, there's no good way to dye it.I agree with the shine of the armour being controlled through dye, it does seem possible seeing as the coldharbour ash black can remove it.
They could add dyes to remove the sheen but the dyeing consistency could be a problem if they updated it, people preferring one of the shades a dyes gives over another and then complaining about how they can't use the dye they preferred. That could be solved by just adding in a bunch of dye variations but then that would mess with dyes being tied to achievements
Some motifs have the shine baked in, most noticeably on heavy armors. Compare Glass motif to something like Outlaw and they dye night and day. Outlaw armor looks gorgeous, Glass will never be able to dye anything other than a weird pastel. Dark reds turn pinks, blacks turn light gray... it's terrible.Fishoscandi wrote: »Maybe use common and uncommon dyes? I think the rare ones have an actual shine to them.

Try to do this:
- MyDocuments
- -ESO live
- UserSettings.txt
- CharacterLighting = 0
or use VotansAnvancedSettings mod for the same setting.

Theres a weird thing I've noticed with Lich set's armor.
This is how it looked before One Tamriel ( when you could only drop from Dark Anchors)
And this is after One Tamriel where you get it from Crypt of Hearts
Idk what changed but this shining effect is added to the armors which means they can remove it as well.
