Hello, I am wondering about the Morrowind DLC coming out in June. When the game comes out and you transfer your character/characters to Morrowind, will you still be able to travel in Tamriel?

Yes you'll still be able to travel through the rest of Tamriel. Morrowind chapter just adds the island of Vvardenfell to the game with a massive story around it

I'm pretty sure it will work similair to the DLC, so it will basicly be a new zone.

So yes, you can go to the rest of Tamriel.

Excellent, when the housing update comes out, I'm investing in a medium Nord house in Windhelm on the 21st. I wouldn't want to see that go to waste

Oh, sorry, I repeated myself by adding the 21st. Disregard that.

Judging from what they've said, it isn't. 4vs4vs4 battle arenas.

Indeed. 4v4v4 battlegrounds, featuring 3 maps set in the Ashlands of Vvardenfell, and 3 game modes. The game modes revealed so far are team deathmatch and CtF.

In spite of the announcement talking about "transferring" characters to Morrowind I'm pretty sure it will work exactly like the DLC zones. I think that's just a generic word for using a wayshrine/quest/boat to get there.

So characters will be able to travel to Morrowind and back as they want, and when they're not in Morrowind they'll be able to meet up with people who don't own Morrowind.

The one difference to a DLC is that apparently new characters will have the option of starting on Morrowind instead of one of the alliance zones. I'm not sure how that will work yet but I assume it will be explained to us before release.

Yeah it is. Any action that results in you entering a new zone (be it wayshrine, transport service, or walking across the zone border) is called a "zone transfer".

Well, I'm pretty sure that Bethesda labeled it as "upgrading your experience", so it's not really like your standard DLC. I think that it's kind of a money grab by Bethesda, though a good one.

So, is Vvarenfell the island that was featured in the Skyrim Dragonborn DLC? I'm sorry that I sound kind of noobish, but I haven't played Morrowind.

@MUSTACHMAN654 No, that was Solstheim. If you remember looking southwards from Raven Rock though, and seeing a smoking volcano, that's Vvardenfell.

Next time you're in ESO open up the map, zoom out to all of Tamriel and look at the Pact area. It's kind of a U shape around the coast, with a big island in the middle. That island is Vvardenfell. It's the biggest chunk of the province of Morrowind but it's mostly taken up by a massive volcano so most of the settlements are around the outside.

I've been wondering what that island was. I wonder if there will be a DLC in which we go to the maromer homeland.

I sure hope so. I think ZOS needs to move off Tamriel and into other continents and planes like Coldharbour (right click on the map and see there's lots of room for Coldharbour-like, extra-Tamrielic zones to put in more little circles) so they can move away from previous, lore-constrained content and make their mark with things wholly original.

Yeah, it would be so cool if we could go to other sections of Oblivion, or to the other continents that surround Tamriel.
