I am ravenous for this feature. I run raids/trials, I am stuck looking half and half hideous 99% of my time online unless I want to adorn myself with a silly costume.

It doesn't surprise me that the people who only use crafted sets are annoyed by this thread (and all the others that came before it), they're not trying to compete in end-game content and wanting to look half decent whilst they do it. Instead many of them make fast gold from churning out mediocre crafted sets in rare and/or crown store exclusive styles to sell in their trade guilds.

ZoS keep releasing new motifs and yet for people, for example, in legendary BSW and Moondancer... well, we're looking at them with envy.

Just let us have a system to transmog, even if it costs mimic stones to do it. At this stage, heck, I don't care how it's done, let's just do it?

I don't want trait change transmog.

    All I want is restyle.

Preferably crafters can make an item "Chest Armour Style - Glass" consumable which can be sold / traded and requires something with the same rarity as nirn mats.

This item can be consumed to change the style of any chest armour (light, medium heavy)

Wouldn't it make more sense if you paid an NPC to change it based on the learned motif and mats you had.

Involving another players doesn't seem the best way and could create other annoyances that are unnecessary.
