So we now know the Warden skill lines and their abilities due to https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/5tpki7/warden_skills_in_eso_morrowind/?st=IZ3YAGWH&sh=749477ea

The above was confirmed as true here...

https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/321554/spoiler-warden-skills-leaked/p1

Are we going to be able to change the animal type of our ultimate or it's skin to a Senche or Wolf perhaps? I was REALLY hoping for other animal companion options and am very disappointed with that skill line.

Any clarification on this? I assume we can change the pet skin since Collectors Edition comes with a grey bear option. I imagine it will be a costume for the pet.

Hmm I like the idea of costumes for pets.... Including the sorc one. Not immersion breaking, but some minor mutations should be allowed?

Pet costumes! I've always asked for this for sorcs even though I don't play one. The million copy-and-paste pets are boring.

Don't get me wrong, I think murder bears are fine. But I'd rather have a battle tiger ripping apart my enemies. :)

I actually would prefer a Guar or maybe a giant snake.

I dunno, I guess I prefer reptilian companions.

Nope. It's gonna be a bear which is really cool imo.

Think of this like asking for Reflective Light to be colored with a dark sort of energy rather than light. Would be cool, sure, but in reality it's just not gonna happen.

I was also very disappointed with the summon skill line. I know the Warden is coming with Morrowind, but did it had to be aesthetically tied to Morrowind like that?
Spoilers - There are a lot of fun stuff NPC's warden kind of characters do in various quests along Tamriel. One i recall is in Bankorai, where you get to play a bit as a wolf, in order to speak to crows. That was fun. I was hoping to get stuff like that that could simultaneously introduce new gameplay mechanics.
    For example:

Wolf spirit: cost: yyyy magika - range: 15m or greater - duration: 20 secs.
Turn into a spirit wolf to travel unnoticed from your foes. (kind of like the Shadow Rider from DB skill line works, but on foot). While in spirit form, you cannot use any abilities nor regen magika (kind of like Mist Form works, except that you could sprint) and jump) and you are immune to all revealing abilities (since you can't use this offensively anyway)
Morph 1: gain Minor Expedition while in spirit form, increasing your movement speed by 10%. Minor expedition persists for 5 secs after you leave spirit form.
Morph 2 : the ability now turns you into a Tiger Spirit and costs stamina and decrease the range you can be seen to 10 meters.
Note: you can not go invisible at melee range like cloak does, nor can you go offensive while in spirit form, so NB's keep their "king of stealth" title. But this kind of ability may introduce a new interesting strategic gameplay, in both PvP and PvE, but especially PvP.

I hope it will never happen. Sorry to say this but for me (my immersion - I know it doesn't matter in the end what I am thinking but I wanted to share my opinion) the distinctive pet for a Warden is a bear, not a Senche, tiger, lion, wolf or anything else. I don't even know if it would make sense lore-wise.

The Wolf Spirit skill sounds nice but has nothing to do with Wardens. Wardens are a specific class bound to lore and a frame what is possible and what's not.

Wardens are based on half a dozen completely different groups throughout Tamriel. You really have nothing to back a statement like "the distinctive pet for a warden is a bear"

Bears might be distinctive for wardens from the north - skyrim or daggerfall or morrowind - but they aren't exactly prevalent south of cyrodiil.

It still doesn't fit their lore / class background. That's why they only have a bear as a permanent pet.

Hehe, Warden of the North

I do agree though, if it isn't against the lore befitting the class :/

@Seraphyel I've been trying to find some lore on the Warden, but google is overflowing with "Warden class confirmed, W00T!!!" articles, so I can't find it, could you guide me in the right direction?

I'd consider bying the Pride king senche or the dark mane senche(the one that kind of looks like Scar from the lion king) if I could use them as my warden pet. Assuming they arn't too expensive.

There is a good chance they will add something like this to the game, considering there is already the grey reskin. I mean it would have been a waste of time if they went through the trouble of making ui let you change the skins if they were only going to stay with those two.

-edit- And there is only so many bear recolors that would sell before people got bored of those skins.
