The above was confirmed as true here...

Are we going to be able to change the animal type of our ultimate or it's skin to a Senche or Wolf perhaps? I was REALLY hoping for other animal companion options and am very disappointed with that skill line.

Sorry to say this but for me (my immersion - I know it doesn't matter in the end what I am thinking but I wanted to share my opinion) the distinctive pet for a Warden is a bear, not a Senche, tiger, lion, wolf or anything else. I don't even know if it would make sense lore-wise.
The Wolf Spirit skill sounds nice but has nothing to do with Wardens. Wardens are a specific class bound to lore and a frame what is possible and what's not.

Wardens are based on half a dozen completely different groups throughout Tamriel. You really have nothing to back a statement like "the distinctive pet for a warden is a bear"
Bears might be distinctive for wardens from the north - skyrim or daggerfall or morrowind - but they aren't exactly prevalent south of cyrodiil.

Hmm I like the idea of costumes for pets.... Including the sorc one. Not immersion breaking, but some minor mutations should be allowed?
