Why can't we dye our weapons!?

It's funny, because this should be a no-brainer. EVERY poll ever done on this topic has the 'YES' to weapon dyeing winning hands down, and for ZOS who claims they 'listen to feedback' this has been yet another one they absolutely refuse to implement.

Last time they addressed this topic they claimed that there was 'heated debate' between the devs on this topic, and yet, PLAYERS overwhelmingly want it! Now, WHO is playing and paying for this game, it's not the devs, it's the PLAYERS! So perhaps on this topic they should be less concerned about which dev's egos get their way, and be more concerned about appeasing the majority of players who want this implemented.

We've asked a thousand times, I'm fairly convinced they're working on it. Slowly, as I think Gina(don't kill me for misquoting) pointed out a couple months ago, it'll be slower than shield dyes because of the sheer number of weapons per motif they have to map for dyes

All the weapons are already tint-mapped. That's why different base materials are different colors.

If any barrier exists beyond "the devs don't want to, it's technical, not artistic.

Personally I would rather have a brown elk than a white one.

This should have been added when they first did armor coloring. And again when they added shields to be colorable. EVERYONE wants this. The "Pink Weapons" argument is already too late, pink armor stands out much more than pink weapons (which we are all forced to use due to light colored rubidite half the time anyways). Also that's ZOS's fault for including a pink dye color. I see no reason why we shouldn't have weapon coloring, or what the so called "heated argument" could have been about.

Simple fix for the dying of weapons crazy colors would be to make it so you can dye them any color of the already existing tiers.

@Mcl How often do you see people in-game with neon green/yellow/pink armor? The times you see it may just stand out in memory because almost no one does :p

I thought eso was serious until I found out that guys can wear dress...

    @Gordon906 "serious"
    Things that make ESO serious:
hundreds of thousands(millions) of "vestiges" all doing the same story and holding secret knowledge of events simultaneously.
    lightningboltlightningboltlightningboltlightningboltlightningboltlightningbolt
zombie horse, ice horse, lightning horse...
    naked nords
elves dumbed down into pretty smoothskins instead of having a more alien(skyrim) or otherwise interesting appearence

    very serious game yes
men wearing dresses is the worst thing going on
    oh the humanity
    oh

I may be pushing out an unpopular opinion but I think dye-ing weapons seems ridiculous and makes you look like clowns. :I

Because ZOS has not yet implemented that!

Oh, they keep making noises about the pink sword scare, and blabber about realistic looks instead of "sith swords"... and then gave us rubedite weapons. So the noises obviopsuly were just idle talk...

And yes, a great many people here would want to dye their weapons. Even if the "business parts" were limited to "metal colors only", we'd jump at the chance to turn our fugly red weapons into something nice and steel-y...
