Stamina Dragonknight weapon choice help

So recently I've been getting back into ESO after taking a very long break from it. I wanted to create a stamina dps based dragonknight but I am torn by what weapons I should roll with. I'm interesting in mostly PvE but may eventually try out PvP. Right now I was trying to decide between using 2H and Dual wield, dual wield and bow, or 2H and bow. I've heard a lot of good things about dual wield + bow and 2h + bow for dragonknight PvE. What weapons do you prefer and why? What weapons would you recommend for a DPS Stam. DK and why?

DW and Bow are the best to use, because the AOE capabilities (i.e. Steel Tornado, Endless Hail, etc.) & single target abilities (i.e. Poison Injection, Rapid Strikes, etc.) offer a ton of damage and versatility. It's really the way to go in the PvE world and it even carries over to PvP fairly nicely (2H and Bow/SB is the best for PvP though imo).

That being said, you should really try out both and see what is the most fun for you; that's really what the game is about and you can make just about anything work; it's about familiarizing yourself with your class, the game mechanics, weapons, etc..

To really maximize your DPS though, DW and Bow is the way to go; I use that on my Stam DK, Stam ND and Stam Sorc for Maelstrom, Dungeons, Trials, you name it.

Thanks for the help, I guess I'll play around with dual wielding + bow and 2 handed + bow and see which one I prefer more and better suites my place style. Would you recommended I start out using melee or should I jump straight into bows first and pick up a melee when I get my 2nd bar?

I had a lot of fun leveling dk with the bow. Lots of poison attacks. Poison breath, poison arrow barrage, venom injection, poison claw attack. Green everywhere

Start with melee, then add the bow when you unlock weapon swap.

If you want to level the bow at the same time you can unlock the first bow ability and put it on your bar with the melee weapon equipped. You will not be able to use the skill, because you won't have a bow equipped, but it will level your bow skill line anyway.

I suggest as a stamina build you level all the stamina weapons so you can adjust depending on the situation.
