Hi everyone!
We've been seeing a lot of confusion over Enlightenment and how the system works, so we wanted to explain it a bit more thoroughly for you. In simplest terms, Enlightenment is a bonus for the XP you earn while playing that counts toward your Champion Point progression.
Every 24 hours, you receive enough Enlightenment to earn one Champion Point at the rate of 100,000XP per Point; after your Enlightenment is used up, you will return to requiring 400,000XP to earn a Champion Point. The 24 hour timer starts when you log in with your first Veteran character or unlock the Champion System, whichever is first, and resets every 24 hours after it first starts. You will receive a message on your screen that you are Enlightened, and you can also hover over your XP bar to see if you are Enlightened.
If you end up not using up all your Enlightenment while you play, it will continue to accrue for a maximum of 12 days. Once you hit the limit, you will not gain any additional Enlightenment until you begin to use it by gaining XP.

I would gain a champion point every few quests. I just did a few more than usual and barely managed to acquire 1 champion level.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. We love reading your enthusiasm on this new system. Our goal is to make it as polished and awesome as possible before releasing to the live servers. The three main changes we’re looking to make are:
- Reducing the speed at which XP per point accelerates. Our data shows there is a good number of people in the 300 champion point range and we didn’t want them to feel like they had to grind all the way to 501 before the system releases. This now means players are gaining champion points faster than the old value up until their 445th point.
- Slightly increasing base XP. This helps normalize the curve a bit so players are spending a little more time in the beginning of the curve and less time at the end of the curve.
- Reducing the XP penalty for players past cap. We want dedicated players to still be able to make meaningful progress.
The formula would be adjusted in the following way to meet these goals:
- ((TotalPoints / (Cap ^ 0.995)) + 0.085) * 400000, where Total Points is how many CP points you’ve earned.
- If you exceed the cap, the XP required is calculated given the above formula and then multiplied by 1.5.
- For the first Champion Point (going from 0 Champion Points to 1 Champion Point) 34000 XP is required.

The quote in here is a bit out of date, though, as it dates back to before the champion point catchup mechanism was introduced: back in the days when it always took a flat 400K XP to earn a single CP. The explanation of how enlightenment works is still valid, but not the comments about the rate at which you earn CPs.First off, The only reason people are still subbed is for that crafting bag perk.

I sub for the xp, and the gold increase, and the craft bag, and the 1500 crowns a month, so no, that's not the ONLY reason.

If you were to do a poll, What I mentioned would win the overall vote Sigtric. Who cares about reaching maxCP (clearly not allot considering Rich Lambert stated only around 5% of the player base has actually achieved it in an ESO live video). What's there to rush for?
Who cares about the added xp bonuses when you can actually play the game and create Psijic Ambrosia plus receive a 10% IIRC, for being in a group of two.
As for crowns I have no issue with, They're handy but for anything of actual value you need 3000+ so that's a 3month sub for 1 item!
again, The only reason "most" people are ESO Plus subscribers ( including myself) is for that craft bag...

...So we will ignore all the people who subscribed before the crafting bag existed? Like me? And many many others?
I don't even understand the need to make fun of this. I think it's been explained so hopefully the OP knows how it works now.
10% more xp here or there, sooner or later we'll all be CP over 9000!
