High bounties are fine I think, but there needs to be a way of reducing it without losing gold >> Community Service
Don't log out. Find somewhere to hide and then go make a sandwich and come back. There was or Finally a system planned that would let players hunt other players who had bounty and essentially be justicars but apparently it ran into issues in testing and was scraped. Sometimes I do feel like the bounties are long because it was designed with the idea that you would be fighting other players to get away but I could just be crazy

I really don't wanna lose my gold since I'm saving up for a house, this high bounty is making it impossible for me to sell/buy items and craft things at cities due to the large amount of guards.
Don't like the big bounty?
Don't. Get. Caught.
Sneak a lot. Steal only when they aren't looking. Burglary is better then pickpocketing, since containers have no chance of feeling your hand slip into them. Also there are some locations where you can steal completely unobserved - containers tagged as stealable but with no witnesses in sight (often through quest-related changes in the area).
Or of you do...
- flee to Coldharbour or -Cyrodil- and earn something there.
- do all your selling in outlaw refugees (every one of them has one entrace that is outside the city limits) and all your crafting at overland crafting stations.
- pay it off, then steal more without getting caught to regain your losses.
- join the thieves guild for some perks in that regard.
- raise legerdemain (overland treasure chest hunting!) for more perks in that regard.
And 11K is nothing. Especially now while al those furniture schematics are still selling for good gold...
Personally I think the bounty decreases way to quickly! It makes crime almost consequence-less, unless you go really overboard and murder a whole town or something...
I for one would have preferred if the bounty did not decrease, but was split for each alliance. So you could have a high bounty in DC lands, but be "upstanding" back home in EP lands...

I think completing quests should reduce your bounty since you're increasing your reputation by doing good deeds, which should have people forgive you for all the bad things you did before.

I've seen many comments that are like "don't do it then" well if I had a time machine then I'd certainly go back in time to not do it.
I don't have the Thieves Guild DLC so all those perks/abilities to decrease bounty quicker is out of the question.
