No way, horrible idea. Wouldn't hurt regular players? It most definitely would. Farming leathers is the only way I farm wax, and you want to take that away.

And btw bots can easily farm nodes as well you just don't see it as much because they run long complex routes. But if you remove leather from animals all those bots will be eating up all the nodes.

So no I do not want them to do anything close to what you are suggesting and it is doubtful zos would do such a thing anyways.

Much more efficient to get drudge wax through daily writs. If you have two characters doing level 50 writs each day, you'll get probably 3-8 of each gold mat in a weeks time.

Stopping bots would raise prices of mats so would benefit players willing to farm but not those buying cheap leather.

I do writs also. Sometimes I just like to farm wax outside of what I get from writs and farming leather is how I do so. 3 to 8 gold mats in a week is nothing though.

You can't really compare writs to farming mats as writs can only be done once a day. You will get far more gold upgrade mats in a week of farming verse doing writs.

And mat prices stay pretty high as it is.

We, the crafters need leather, let5her comes from animals, not from boxes.

    Leather must stay on vreatures.

Could they just put some reset conditions on the adds? Make it so that an add won't respawn until the player that has killed it has moved a certain distance away or something. They won't be able to do it AFK that way. I saw something similar with surveys. If you have two of the same survey in your inventory you have to move a good distance away after taking the first batch of nodes before the second will respawn.

Don't remove game functionality to try and address bots.
    Remove the bots.

ZoS needs to be more pro-active in banning bots.

At the very least they need to remove the ability to get drops for group members who do no damage.

You see those people sitting in stealth when one or two run around killing every leather dropper in sight? They do nothing but soaking in free exp, and picking up the free loot before it disappears or they time out. Multiple computers, multiple accounts? Free loot.

they would jut increase the size of the bot path.

The answer to bots is to have people in the game who can ban them or to add movement path detection code which will detect bots.

    No.

Disrupting EVERYONE'S game just so a few botter idiots get inconvenienced slightly is just ... not a great idea.

And all it would be would be a slight inconvenience for them. That's it. They'd just program the bot to do something else.

That wouldn't get rid of bots. It would only change what the bots are farming.
An active system by eso to monitor resources farmed and sold would help more on finding bots than an overcorrection that hurts players.

How do these Bots operate? Are they firing at the same spot where a add spawns and collecting the loot from time to time? Or is it more complicated than that?
