What's with the Constant Load Screen followed by Unable to Connect To Server

Since the new patch every time I switch to another character and then try to switch zones I get a Constant Load Screen followed by Unable to Connect to Server. This happens every time and I have to completely log out of the game wait a few seconds then log back in to fix the problem. This has all started with the new patch.
