Just wasted 5000 crowns on Merchant Assistant.

    I too wasted my crowns on the merchant. At least the banker has a purpose and lets me access stored items anywhere. Who cares about selling? We want FULL merchant capabilities!

    They have been out for a year already, research your product before purchasing OP.

    While it would be convenient for all of that, I must add that being able to SELL a full inventory anywhere without having to port back is a MASSIVE convenience you should not easily overlook.

    Also it's not really a waste in the long run it's a good investment.

    I have a char stuck in IC that has probably lost out on 20-50k of items on the floor just because of a full inventory RIP :expressionless:

    I have both and it's not worth $25 or $39 each regardless. Now their services being limited vs the description in another big problem but now with housing, I see that descriptions are intentionally left off to get ppl to buy

    It's time ppl stand together vs saying you should've searched the Internet.

    Nothing important is left out. It tells you EXACTLY what she does. The people assuming she had other functions... lol. You conspiracy types are a barrel of laughs.

    @notimetocare

    No it doesn't tell you exactly anything.
    If it did this post and so many others wouldn't exist.

    There is no conspiracy types here....it's reality. The product label misleads the customer just like the banker, just like the houses

    Yes it does. You are all complaining because it doesn't say what she does not do

    @notimetocare
    The description conveys it as a merchant and that she offers merchant services.

    100% of all merchant, buy items, sale items and repair

    This merchant only buys items. The description doesn't say she only buys items

    "NUZHIMEH THE MERCHANT

    This alert merchant is on hand whenever she's needed, and will buy anything you or your group offer her. She won't come to Cyrodiil, though—war is bad for business.

    When summoned, her services can be used by you and your groupmates."

    Guess u cant read

    @notimetocare

    They list her as a merchant...all merchants buy, and repair 100% of them but this merchant is limited. The description is misleading. Everyone can read and comprehend just fine. The company just decided to leave off the unique restrictions

    Look at the photo. She's presented just like an actual merchant and it clarifies she doesn't go to Cyrodil but doesn't clarify other restrictions.......it's what some call a scam

    Sorry but not all merchants repair, most of them do but definitely not all.

    @Stopnaggin

    As described in later comments, and feel free to ignore an absolute of 100% but the article that ZOS released advertised the merchant to offer services so the player doesn't need to go to town.

    Didn't see your later comment, also I agreed that she is mislabeled. Also this is not some new argument. Been on here ever since release, as with the banker not giving access to guild bank and smuggler not offering a launder service.

    The point of my original post was the op didn't bother to either research before he purchased or is not a regular forum goer. If he was he would have known these issues before hand. She is indeed not a merchant, we are the merchants she is a consumer. We sell, she doesnt, so yes she is mislabeled. Just another thread about something that hasn't changed since they were released. Imho she is still a valuable tool in game, so not a waste imo. Did not ignore anything in the original post, my opinion will remain the same, research before you buy ask a few questions and this wouldn't be a problem. If the op would have done a simple search he wouldn't have wasted $40. It would have taken half the effort of posting his rant.

    Problem is doing research on the site, ingame crown store literally suggest the merchant is like having a merchant so that you don't have to go to town

    If going to the forums is a requirement to further research befor you buy....then it's as many of us have said

    The merchant assistant is very useful when I need to dump out some of my inventory in the middle of a dungeon or while out harvesting. It's one of the purchases that takes time to be worth it. That new car seems a bit extravagant but if you've had it for 15 years then... maybe it was worth it.

    But have you changed the description of the merchant assistant in the crown store, or tweaked it to provide repairs? As a consumer, I feel insulted by you offering it for sale as it currently is.

    The only reason I won't buy either vendor is no repairs on the first one and no guild bank on the second one

    I bought the merchant to be able to unload stuff when out and about, so I didn't feel ripped off personally, but I can see why you would with its description. Frankly she should be able to do repairs and sell some basic goods IMO.

    I have severe buyer's remorse about this purchase.

    I understand why it should not repair inside dungeons or trials. However, perhaps it can be changed to repair when placed inside a player's home?

    bottom line: merchant should repair and offer a few useful items for sale.

    additionally, as a 9 trait 6x master crafter, i should be able to repair my own gear, too.

    additionally, the banker should be full service.

    5k crowns each?

    yeah, they should be all that.

    I thankfully already was aware of the assistants capabilities. However, I think that it should actually sell stuff like repair kits, lock picks, and other things you suggested. That wouldnt be such a bad idea, especially for 5k crowns.

    It's reasonable to assume that a hired banker would function exactly the same as any other banker in the game.
    The same is true for a hired merchant.

    The fact that *both* have only *limited* functionality and *none* of their restrictions are mentioned in the crown store description makes this a scam, plain and simple.

    This has been discussed here many times ever since ZOS release those two as crown items and they have been aware of the confusion this has caused since day one, but they deliberately opted to *not* clarify the limited functionality of both store items.

    I just figured out ZoS' business plan:

    Fix as little as possible as seldom as possible---this keeps people buying the more expensive monthly ESO+ subs rather than the cheaper longer-term versions, because they are never sure if this will be the month they get frustrated enough with the terrible maintenance and customer service that they quit the game.

    Yeah, I'm really kind of ticked tbh too, I thought the banker was more than just storing your items in the bank but allow you to search the guildstores / guildbank from anywhere as well.

    Really wish they would allow us 1 return per month tbh for the crowns we bought them for if it was a collectable
