I thought this was a thread on Homestead? The person I replied to implied there were broken promises in regards to Homestead. I guess it was my mistake not to specify. i'll do so now. Elighten me about these "broken promises" that pertain to Homestead.
Also, I've never ever seen any of those examples preceded by the phrase "we promise". Do you consider every statement you've ever said in your life a binding, unaltering promise? I bet you don't. Only game forums who is happy is old games who just hardcore fans plays and everybody know its no new updates.Is it weird that i find it weird that people think game forums should be happy places?
Number of negative comments in the Skyrim forum skyrocketed after the updated version.
But yes I had an long break from ESO considered starting up again and forum turned me away.
Back then it was far more toxic, currently its mostly reasonable complain about grind with some balance and nerfs
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Why get upset about Crown Crates when so many other companies do the same? Because I think ZOS is better than those other companies, and I hold them to that standard even when they do not. Why am I disappointed in Homestead? Because I've seen what this team is capable of, I know they could have made something that would have had me in tears of joy, and they chose to go a completely different route.
Why negativity? Because ZOS are way too amazing to make the mistakes they make.
This guy nailed it. I'm a terrible critic of ZOS but It's because I care and want the game to survive and not die like so many have in the past. If we don't keep beating the negative drum on things like Server performance, cheating, bugs, and balance, who will? ZOS needs to be constantly reminded. Sometimes I feel like they only care about our money and only fix things if there is a direct impact to their revenue stream, not because it's the right thing to do, or because it is the healthy thing to do for long term longevity. you must be new to technology and gaming in general to think that the state of this game is okay.
i mean sure - compared to sitting outside and throwing a ball against a wall- ESO is fantastic!
but compared to every other game out there? its putting itself behind with every update, every patch , every change. when i first came to the game- i was in love. i decided this was it- I'm going to get right into this. and the truth is- I'm stuck with it- this is my game- which is why i do care so much. but lately man- its gotten worse and worse- there are more exploits than ever, the game is more inaccessible than ever, the lag, performance and balance issues- progressively worse- and worse than that - its the attitude of the develpoers- that the solution is to expand and look forward instead of repairing the ground beneath them. personally - i havent been able to play since the update because of the sub sampling issue- and was told it wouldn't be fixed til the next patch- so i won't be able to play for a week. so u can paint everything with sunshine and roses- but put simply- other gamer s dont put up with this kind of crap in their games- and its more than frustrating- its unacceptable.5 -

Release as cheap and shoddy a product as possible at the highest possible price and then slap some whitewash on any issues discovered so that you can sell more of it to more people at an even higher price by calling it "new and improved" is the American way.
