There is now a real downside to being a vampire. Finally.
Fire leaps and lava whips everywhere.
Too bad mist form is necessary to survive in open world as a nonsorc magicka class.
So there isn't really more decision making to be done, just greater punishment for a still mandatory condition.
Yay..
Expensive mobility pots with immovable buff too.
Though since this patch, it has been great playing against DK's as a staff welding Templar. It's that fine line of balance/counter balance in the fights that's refreshing and I look forward to future campaigns against the class.

They have literally no weaknesses, DK got buffed a lot and there's not a lot casual pvp player that can solo kill permablock DK.

Low mobility, low burst on both mdk and magplar.
Princess_Asgari wrote: »Its not so much roots need a cooldown, its more so the amount of snaring that happens is atrocious. DK and Templar are the two classes on magicka that NEED roots. Otherwise they cant keep up with the other two magicka variants or any stamina players.
Instead of seeing root immunity id much rather see snares not stacking over 50% and when the 50% is reached you are immune to snares for 2.5 seconds. Also the gap closer snare needs to be removed if you have this immunity up as well which can be applied to mist form users.
Why do you need roots when you can already snare an enemy and also have working gapclosers at your disposal?
I very much think being able to permanently limit the movement of an opponent is broken. That´s due to esos design though. You have dmg abilities also having root as a secondary effect.
Imo if you want to root or snare a target that should be the main effect of the ability. A prime example would be encase.
If you want to lock me down you shouldn´t be dealing dmg at the same time.
I agree on snares 100%! My solution would be different though.
Have a major + minor buff system for snares aswell (i mean they already have that in place for movement buffs - why not for impared movement???). Minor snare reduces movement speed by 15% major snare reduces speed by 35%. Minor and major can stack but thats it. You get a maximum of 50% snare when you can access both buffs.

I mean...what percent of mDK and magplars don't run Elusive Mist? Sure, it's not part of their class toolkit, but it removes the weakness of low mobility for all practical senses. It's a bit confusing to say that mDK/magplar have low mobility...but most of them have good mobility (by mist). (My apologies for this interruption, this popped into my head and I couldn't resist)
Sounds like talons is too strong again.

You literally could rotate in place 5 days ago. Now you are glue and I am rubber, everything you say bounces off me and sticks to you.

Low mobility, low burst on both mdk and magplar.
Plus when your goal is to actually fight people, the value of mobility goes down. The less you want to fight, the more mobility is valuable. How important will mobility be when battlegrounds come?

Yea, can't wait for encase spam everywhere come battlegrounds
True, fire damage bad, altho offset by other buffs gained by vamping. You can also add NB gankers (so a lot) to the pool of vamps.Joy_Division wrote: »The_Outsider wrote: »I mean...what percent of mDK and magplars don't run Elusive Mist? Removing the lack of mobility but incurring additional weaknesses that Nbs and sorcs do not have to contend with. And not every DK and Templar wants to be or is a vamp.
When I actually want to fight people, the value of mobility goes up because I have to chase them around trees, evade their dizzying swings, and actually have to be facing them in melee range for my best attack to hit.

I can´t see a reason to do that with the possibility of running guard and 3 stam DDs.
Be Thankful Bodyguard and Grapple from DAOC don't exist in this game lol....though Talons is closing in on Grapple at this point rofl.

Grapple atleast only disabled one player and yourself aswell...
They can never introduce something close to bodyguard (i think even the current guard is too strong) with esos healing system.
We need proper interrupts and silences for something like that ._.

a Warden Bot Grappling me was one of the most annoying things in that game.
One of my guildmates on his Berserker would rage cause all the groups we fought would have a grapple bot just grapple him the entire time.
Guard in this game is about like it is in Warhammer or SWTOR.
Man did you ever see the Taunts in Rift? Think it had a guard also but I remember its Taunts on Tanks being insane..like 60% damage debuffs, You could build for 2 single target ones and 2 AOE ones...
