The point of this thread is that he saw low level players selling gold jewelry for 50k.

I have gotten to the point where I also vendor all my gold jewelry for 50 gold, but I remember when I was first running vet trials I felt like I'd do anything to get my hands on the gold jewelry.
Make PC NA raiding great again!

    Down with drama!

Hey OP good job and yes many troll forum users of late.

You do a nice thing giving away free gold BiS jewels and then like you say the others charge for it. Not cool, thanks for the share.

Pretty sure if his post had been less insulting and egotistical he would have had better response from people.

It really comes off as "Hey all I am so awesome because I alone did this thing, everyone else is a scrub because they're not as awesome as me, and to stick it to them more I got awesome loots lololol"

The original group wouldn't have been scrubs if they would have hung around. We just needed to replace the AFK healer and the non functional tank. We were there for maybe 45 minutes. But people were complaining it was too long....

I won't include the time it took to put a group together as I see that really doesn't count.

It's funny how different people can have very different perceptions of a shared experience. I was part of the original group and here is my recollection.

The group formed around 8:30 EST and entered the trial shortly thereafter. It seemed like we struggled a bit, but we persisted and ultimately made it to the final boss. We tried three different combinations of tanks, of which you were the last, but we just kept wiping. To me, it didn't seem like we were even getting close. At that point, it was 10:45 EST and a couple of the group members indicated that it looked like we weren't going to get the job done and that they were going to leave. That view seemed to be the consensus view. I don't recall anyone suggesting otherwise. I don't recall anyone saying "Let's give it another try and this time we can do X or Y". I don't remember anyone saying much of anything other than the impression that we just weren't going to get the job done.

I don't know why we were having such a hard time. For all I know, it could have been completely my fault. The point is, though, that at 10:45 after 2:15 in the trial, and multiple wipes with different combinations of roles, it was not unreasonable to conclude that we were not going to be successful with that group and that we should disband. Nobody offered an opinion to the contrary.

I am glad for you, and those who joined you, that you were able to complete the trial. I am glad you were able to be successful with that group. I do not believe, however, that we would have been successful with the original group.

I appreciate that you gave away your loot in the spirit of helping a fellow player. I have benefitted greatly from other players with a similar view. I do think, though, that is a bit harsh to characterize your fellow players as "scrubs" given the situation in its entirety and just how the group came to ultimately disband.

That, though, is a matter of opinion, I guess. Circling back around to my actual point, it really is remark to me how people can have very different perceptions of a shared experience.

Another botched HelRa pug last nite LOL! As everyone dropped the craglorn pug, because they're scrubs; I stayed in and pulled players from a few guilds. Took awhile to get the team together, but hammered it out on 2nd go round at the warrior.

    Here's how it happened.

The original tank.....Templar with Ebon and Meridia's blessed armor? Wtf never heard of that one? Even claimed he had max resistance. Well he folded up quick and could not hold afro. This poor guy was flustered. Said he tanks VMoL with this setup.....I call bs, but I try to be nice. I even put guard on him. So another guy has a tank.....

Another guy come in with DK no idea what he wore, but he fold up quick too. Even with his 45k health......

So I took over with good ol tried and tested DK Ebon armor master lord warden. 32k health 25k stam 16k magic. By this time one healer went AFK and the other one was using BoL wtf? 2 tries and everyone drops but me and the AFK dude.

I needed to get players in so I couldn't be picky. 4 of my DPS were just not good. 1 was CP 200. 2H Crit rush, wrecking blow. It was comical to watch them rush the boss and fold up next to me. 4 of my DPS were likely pulling 30k DPS combined......

Barely got by the DPS check.which I was grateful we made it there. Finished the boss then split up loot.

Here's where I have a big problem. One of these tools gets gold infal ring and tries to sell it to another player for 50k. Like really? Not a sharp staff or something. Just a ring.

I gave away the gold VO neck I got, that I could have used on another toon, just because I already have one on other toon. All this stuff will become bound after a short while, I don't see how any of it can suddenly become worth a small fortune. Especially in a thrown together group like this. Scrubs should be ashamed of their behavior.

This Pug life is killing me.

Dude not too sound an ***, but if i see a cp 200 in a vet trial group, i leave, and if i make the group myself i would request only cp capped players, this is a vet trial, the hardest pve content in the game, no space for non optimized setups or low cp players, but i am willing to overlook that if you provide me evidence that you're a good player.

Unfortunately not even capped players are suitable for vet trials. Remember there are CP grinders out there. They spent the majority of their time grinding their experience points, and not enough exploring their set up.

Just because a player spent the majority of their time grinding for their XP points in skyreach catacombs doesn't mean that they're suitable for vet trials.

It means that they became experts on doing the same thing over and over and over again on trash mobs.

To be honest, yes this is kinda true, sometimes i too saw cp capped players doing like 15 k dps, and using skills like snipe in pve.
But most of the time cp capped players are above average.

I guess when someone calls other players scrubs in the first paragraph it sets the tone for me.

Sorry. I shouldn't have called them scrubs. They shouldn't have left though.

Only things really missing was Tank and healer.

The original group had really good burn but they couldn't do much with boss running around. When I switched to my tank there was one bad attempt of it with one healer being AFK then everyone just left. It took me awhile to put group back together, but it was done by 11:20

Btw, I did another last night and ended up with eternal yokeda gold bull ***. This time I Tank from the start. It takes half hour to put group together. A little more time for everyone to get there and get ready. Then 45 minutes to actually run the trial with good burn.

Many players trying to get in never ran a vet trial. They don't know what to expect. I've done lots of them. It makes me feel good to get players through it. It sucks when people drop from the little hiccups.
