Master Writ Broken (Deadly Set/Non-Craftable)

A friend of mine just got a master writ that's asking her to craft a Ruby Ash Inferno Staff from the "Deadly Strike" set...which is not craftable: http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Deadly+Strike+Set

So is this a bug or intended? Will we need to craft 1x Black Rose shield for a master writ

Maybe this can help a little...
I had a mastercraft for style armor master yesterday in inventory. after making another mastercraft and take the reward for this the old armor master in inventory now shows i have to craft deadly strike instead of armor master.5

Already did, wonder if the writ itself will be fixed or if one would need to get a new one/request it through mail like what happened with RoM/CoS coffers when they came out.0 -

That's actually the very first bug I ran into on the PTS. I also later had it work after a subsequent patch fixed it. Odd that the bug returned.1 -

✭✭I would hope that they will simply replace then words Deadly Strike with an 8 or 9 trait set on the existing incorrect writs - I rather stupidly paid quite a lot of one of these as I was in a rush to get some of the Writ shop items and thus would be quite grumpy if they simply remove them from game without replacing.1 -

JHartEllis✭✭✭✭✭Writs that you have in your inventory can MORPH into the Deadly Strike requirement. My friend put a writ on a guild trader, and it changed from Morkuldin set to Deadly Strike. This happened to me as well, though I don't recall the original set.
Original Morkuldin item:

Yuls✭✭✭✭Just happened to me too after putting them into the guild store. Now I'm stuck with 2 Deadly Strike master writs. Please fix this.

Zweible✭✭✭Found a master writ that I could do and paid 500K for it. (payout was 82 vouchers!) Take it off store and it switched to this trash. I hope they can fix it! Just a little miffed at the loss.

Have the same problem,after placing the writ in the guildstore to sell it turned from Clever Alchemist to Deadly Strike had to take it back and I've started the related quest in hope that it will change back but the miracle didn't happened.

Any update on this? Got another one. It's a tad annoying as these things are really lucrative at the moment. They wont be in 2 weeks, so the sooner the better. I am sure it's harder than it sounds, but why can't all the deadly strike writs just be changed to Night Mothers or something.0 -

That's interesting. I have sold many master writs in a trader, and had one that just wasnt selling. When I looked, it was deadly strike. I don't remember it dropping like that. I was aware of the bug and thought I was paying attention when I listed. Definitely did not want to list one of these that cant be done. Really weird if this stuff is randomly converting.
In any event, I have 2 of these. One is 6 vouchers, the other is 117! Sigh... That's 700k plus in a good trader.0 -
Zweible✭✭✭Just got a reply back from Customer Support on my ticket for this issue. They are aware of the problem, and say not to buy writs from Guild vendors until it is fixed. Moving ticket up to next support level. (Keeps fingers crossed!)

✭I listed 2 writs yesterday, one converted to Deadly Strike. I pulled it down off the store, but now I'm out the listing fees.
I also pulled my other writ down because I didn't want that one to be broken too.
Sadly I'm out 30k gold in listing fees, and I have a writ that can't even be done.
