Homestead lacks value and utility

    Homestead is completely useless.
I have free Vulkhel Guard room. And, maybe, I'll buy Snugpod for free Grahtwood travels and skeleton placement.
No need to buy or mess with anything else of homestead nonsense.

I too have no objection to housing in Elder Scrolls - but have played games before with instanced houses that provide no purpose other than decoration and role play (which many people enjoy) eg Rift but it's not my thing.

I came to this game from Archeage where houses and land are not instanced and ownership was required to make be able to grow plants, animals etc farm and make money. They could also be decorated and you could add NPC's and crafting stations in them. It was great to jump on your horse and go for a trip through the housing estates to see what people had done with their houses. Even just going about your daily game, you got to see houses and the changes people made. Have little interest in trying to go a visit instanced houses.

The only downside was when Archeage merged a few servers - we had to pick up everything and there was an enormous "land grab" for prime spots.

Again - not complaining about ESO housing but adding some functionality would be a great incentive for some.

I just wish there was a way to place more collectibles we've purchased from the store. 8 seems like far too few for a large house. It would maybe make them sell more store items, too. ;) ::hint hint ZOS::

Maybe they'll sell a limit upgrade at some point or something. I want to have more of my pets hanging out in different places on my property.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if that limit is raised as the coding for housing is optimised. At this stage I imagine they're treading lightly because of concern over possible performance issues. I suspect the same is true of player caps.

Being as Housing is content directed at RPers. Your suggestion is akin to asking for PVE in Cyrodil, or PVP in the other zones. Sometimes you've got to let people have their toys and understand not everything will peak your interest.
