I start a new character now, because of the riding lessons. I don't play with it just learn riding lessons in the next 4 month I can learn enough riding lessons.
If I do this, can I change to that lvl3 character to the new Warden class?

This is even more important for those who have no free character slot. Or we will get character slot cap raise too?

    Edit: -race, +class

lol and just giove me the expansion because i sub, i also want a solo version of the trial and the content needs to be beatable naked with light attacks. also i wanx a 6 times EXP potion that lasts for ever and a room with 200 skyshards.

It's a roleplaying game. It's not about the player, it's about the character.

I think people that get this confused tend to say things like "I've done this" and "I've done that", and whilst true you have because you're playing the game, it's really your character that has done these things, really. Playing a role, it's less about ourselves and more about our characters. That's the classic role playing game; playing your character, warts and all, and that's what ESO's history is.

But in this seemingly selfish world these days, where egos often appear to take centre stage, where many profess to wanting it all right now, and most seem to gladly consume themselves with, well themselves, I'm sure it's only the extreme minority that understand this difference.

ZoS may get rid of levels altogether one day (and just have CP), and they may relax class restrictions, who knows. But it's doubtful.

Oh, indeed, at least for some of us - it is a roleplaying game. As an RP player I don't care too much about builds, stats, DPMs etc, but I care about my character, its interactions with the world. And therefore the suspension of disbelief plays a profound role in my perception of the game - ie. the less artificial, quirk, not-explained-by-the-lore limitations placed in the game by the devs the better. In real life with a bit of effort I could change (and in fact I have changed several times) my profession, with a bit more effort I could change my gender (no, I haven't tried that), whilst to change my race, well, suffice to say, I am not Michael Jackson. In ESO you can easily change your gender and race, but you are unable to change your profession (class). Where is the lore to explain that?!
Oh, I know, that there is no lore to explain eg. why only guilds with 10+ members can have their heraldry, but that's only a cosmetic annoyance, whilst preventing my character from changing his profession (class), given that he CAN become her (and Argonian!) if he only has few crowns to spare - that's silly!

Hopefully. If Warden were available from the start, my main would have been a Warden. Certainly not going to delete a 2 year old character to salvage who he is and punt it into a new Warden character.

This is why I've always been against set Classes in this game. What they should've done was had the Classes be in game (after your create your character) skill trees. Sort of like the way Final Fantasy has the "Job" system.

Now I don't think everyone should be changing classes on a whim... But I think a shrine in the capitals that allow us to change our Classes would work. With something like a 24hr cooldown unless you've started a PVP Campaign. Then you should be locked to your chosen class for the duration of that campaign.

U dont get the point of class change guys i want to class change not to be max lvl but to save my achivments and titles that i have on my main character + also mount lvl and Aliance War rank which is pretty high!!!!

What a cruel story, a "war rank which is pretty high" reached with class X, and now wanting to change this high ranked toon into a new, unknown, unexperienced warden and posing with this high rank. Pfffff .... what a weak show. :'(

Oh, like you have never heard about changing a profession in a real life? Or a warrior deciding to become a monk? Or the other way round?

Let me reiterate the main point from my previous post: for a role playing player the immersion really matters, any rule that is neither common-sense not lore-explained is a crack in that immersion. I understand that lots of players enjoy ESO as an MMO PVP with builds, stats, leaderboards and do not give a flyin' c*** about the coherence of the world and I fully respect that. ESO is a vast game where there is a place for both role players and those who elect to name their chars in the likes of "1337_Hamster_Dominator". But I would really appreciate if the needs of role players were also taken into consideration by the devs, the more, that no hurt would come of the class change mechanism to the "1337_Hamster_Dominators": having changed the class a player would still need time to master it, but his/her char would retain its "personality" - riding skills, personal history of achievements, etc. Like IN A REAL LIFE!

Class change service and the new Warden class
No such service token will be there. ZOS openly and directly answered to it in mid-april ESOlive. If you want Warden - you roll a new character like any other class.

I have 7 characters and have leveled them all by doing ALL the story lines with each toon. I will not be doing that again... the only way I play a Warden is if they sell class change in the Crown Store. Only then might I convert one of my over-nerfed Templars into something useful.

If a class change service is introduced, it must be a one time thing and no take backs. Otherwise, it will be abused by FOTM'ers and ruin the game balance,

But honestly, I've never heard of an AAA MMO giving class changes simply because it causes balance problems, messes up the class populations and encourages a pay to win atmosphere. Chances are, you won't see class changes from ZoS anytime soon, which is a good play. By the end of the day, what the players want isn't always what's healthy in the long run. Hence why most mmos don't offer this service.

Why do you need all the boring achievements on every toon anyway? Why not just.... enjoy the game as a new class? You don't have to grind all the achievements if you hate them so bad
    Hoping for more playable races

What a silly thing to ask for. If you want a new character, make a new character. "But I put so much time into character A!" isn't an argument in favor of class change, either.
I have 7 characters and have leveled them all by doing ALL the story lines with each toon. I will not be doing that again...

So don't do that again.... since it doesn't require remotely that much questing to level a character up. Getting every single skill point? Yes, that requires doing all the storylines. But do you really need all those SP on every character you make?

They are silly arguments but we must keep in mind that a lot of these guys are console players who may have never played an mmo before. They aren't aware of how silly they really are.

I am in favor of class-change tokens.

Leveling up a character takes little time; that's not my issue.
Titles/achievements do not affect game-play; that's not my issue.

My issues are stable training and crafting skills.

Early on I built a Bosmer Templar with the idea that she would be a nature-based, guerrilla-type character. I didn't know the game well enough then to know that wasn't possible. I tried to make the concept work, found I couldn't, and stopped playing her. But I needed alts/mules, so I didn't delete the character, and for months I've been buying her stable training and I've ground up all her crafting skills so she can get rank 3 hirelings and pick up rank 10 mats on the occasions when she harvests. Months of that, and she's finally just about to finish up on the stable training - I've been really looking forward to being done with it - but I still had no intention of actually playing her; I was buying up the speed/stamina so I could eventually use her as a farming alt.

Now there's the Warden, and the Warden class has the skills and aesthetics I wanted that character to have in the first place. I could, theoretically, delete her and re-build her as a Warden, and she'd be exactly what I wanted. But if I do that, I'll lose all those months of stable check-ins and crafting grinding. That's super frustrating, and I don't believe it makes the game better for anyone for me to have to re-do those things.

I'm not even talking about the gold cost of the stable upgrades, or the value of all those decon'd items; I'm talking about my time that ZOS is asking me to waste. Those 180 once-per-day upgrades, divided by ~4 log-ins per week = 4-5 months before a new version of this character would have the same functionality as the one I've already put time into. Ugh.

The Morrowind patch was a major change to the game. A free character slot and 1 permanent, one-time-only class-change token would have been completely appropriate.

No, please. People should level new wardens from scratch. Otherwise we will have bunch of cp600 wardens and people who have no idea how to play with them.

People level toons to 50 in 3-4 hours. And get 160 cp in a few more. They dobt feel the power creep of the stars and they have no idea how to play since it leveled so fast how is this any different??
