What is the exact difference in these two items?

    the robust ones have much more health and take longer to kill.

    I don't know what the numbers are off hand, though.

    I got the regular skeleton yesterday and it has 3 million health.

    I only got the regular skeleton so I can't confirm what the robust one is.

    As for resistance, it seems to be standard boss resistance as my damage numbers looked about the same as tank and spank bosses.
    Though I only played with it for a few minutes so I can't say for sure.

    I read in someones twitch chat yesterday that the 3m hp skele has 18k physical resistance and something like 15k spell resistance (or vice versa), whereas the 6m hp skele has 18k physical and spell resistance. This is from my memory so isn't exact, but apparently fearturbo tested them both with s&b ulti and the 2 skeles have slightly different resistances for some reason.
