I think that's quite likely. Someone probably set it for Achievement ID 243205 instead of 242305 or something.

Well, I don't have Tamriel Hero on the char that I used to successfully buy this house. So if they messed up achivements, it's something else.

Sure. Not that achievement in particular, but some other achievement. For example, 243205 is "Defeat Corintthac the Abomination" from the Defender of Orsinium achievement.

The person I was talking to managed to buy the house on a different alt. That still didn't work for me though. At this point buying HPH might just be rng.

Everytime I think ZOS has learned their lesson, they find new and exciting ways to disappoint me.

I have to guess because they have a brain slightly bigger than your walnut.
You see if there is always new bugs, then it doesn't take 24 hours to find and fix everything, but by waiting a whole week they can fix anything else reported as well, or do you expect them to do an emergency server check because this house can't be bought right now?

Most homes have quests or achievements that you must fulfill in order to unlock them for purchase with gold. The issue with this specific home is with the related quest/achievement-based gold purchase unlock. We're targeting next week's incremental patch, but we still need to lock in and test a fix. Apologies for any disappointment or frustration about this - we'll get this home available to you for gold purchase as soon as possible. Please use crowns in the mean time, preferably fully furnished.

@Karacule_Fairystar Standard response, but try disabling all add-ons and/or changing the keybind to something else.

Cant help but feel if this was the other way round, could only purchase with gold and not crowns, it would be hotfixed within the hour.

This hotfix was just completed. You can now purchase Hunding's Palatial Hall if you have completed the the “Glenumbra Adventurer” achievements and “A Friend in Need” quest. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
