Constant Barking Since Patch

I don't know if this is a bug, an ill-considered change, or something else, but my Bravil Retriever has been yapping constantly since this morning's patch. The game is much less fun without my loyal companion, but the incessant noise was annoying enough that I had to dismiss him. Please let him return to being a mostly silent hunting dog. His look when I had to tell him to go home was pitiful.

You mean that non-combat pets are now like horses--you need to spend 250g per day at the pound (or buy an upgrade from the Crown Store) to keep them happy and functional?

I noticed that too with my Bravil Retriever today and I completely agree with you.

I put the Black-Masked Bear dog away today for the same reason. I train my dog to be confident and secure in his surroundings. Why would I want a virtual pet barking none stop?

Just checked out this pet, and yes, he barks a LOT. I don't normally use him so I'm not sure how often compared to normal, but he's definitely noiser than any other pet I've ever used.

We should have the option to turn off pet sounds. If you buy a pet in the crown store they should not change the way it interacts in the world or give us a refund....can't use the golden retriever any more.

I have 3 dogs in real life. Together they bark less than my virtual dog.

I've seen another thread about a similar issue with a dog barking constantly since the patch.

It is something that a lot of people would like to see fixed, can everyone who has experienced it please make sure to do /bug in game and report it? It's not enough to just mention it on the forums.

Nixads don't chatter anymore either. I can hear their wings flutter but no bips and boops like they used to make.

Yeah, I bought that dog because he looked so sad in his picture, so I swore that my main would never switch pets. Now I have a barking dog following me when I am trying to sneak. A promise is a promise, so he stays with my main. My other characters can run with whatever they want.
