Was excited for homestead but the furniture inventory system killed that.

    Hey it comes with a nice title. B)

    I think you need to buy 3 of them to get the title.

    Each comes with it's own title, AND you get an additional one if you own all 3.

    @DeadlyRecluse

    I was referring to the Count Title, does that come with just one house? I did get an Achievement on the PTS when I bought one, but I thought the Count Title only came after the third house. I mostly previewed houses on the PTS, not the process.

    @Nestor,

    I believe Count needs 3, but you get a lesser title (I know the AD one is "Den Mother/Father") for each mansion. But I could be wrong! It's happened before.

    They have talked about the possibility of a furniture bag, but said said that it poses very different coding/performance issues to the crafting bag because whereas the crafting bag typically carries a hundred items in stacks of a thousand, a furniture bag would typically carry thousands of items in stacks of one. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes one day but it clearly isn't going to come any time soon.

    I didn't mess with furniture on the PTS, I just previewed the houses, but does it stay in your inventory after you've placed it?

    Thanks for that info. Hearing reasons is helpful.
    It's too bad no one will read this. The popular thing is to skip info so we can keep complaining ;)
    Still pretty bummed this wasn't considered at the start though. And that we're still waiting on fixes like lighting that weren't launched... But I guess it boils down to no housing for months if they waited. (Too bad that's also going to make people like me not buy right now and wait til later to play with the thing.)

    I don't think it does. I wasn't playing in my inventory specifically, but I know in the creator setting something consumed it.

    I assume it doesn't, otherwise people wouldn't be talking about storing it in spare houses/room inns to resolve the inventory management issue. On that basis, I don't see why people would need to be carrying masses of spare furniture in their inventory or bank.

    Not true. :P And anyway, that's not exactly the most stellar of reasons for them to give, esp because it hilights the inventory constraints- there are thousands of housing items but no practticle way to own even half of them. :(

    Count require the three mansions, you get an for each mansion too, like clanmother for the khajiit one.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    I know this sounds lazy, but they should just add a new "furnishing" tab in the craft bag for all this stuff. At least it would be another perk for ESO+ subscribers.

    You wanna talk about inventory issues? Unsubscribe from ESO+ and bathe in the gauntlet of materials that have been added overtime :lol:

    But for real your issue should have been solved the same way pack mules should've been solved - Player Housing Storage! Put an end to the load screen fests that pack mule organization creates and maintain the same functions

    The pricing AND inventory management suck in Homestead.

    Luckily I have super rich friends who can buy Manors with everything and grant me access :) otherwise I wouldn't even bother

    STEP ONE, creat new character. Name him Interior designer Elsa, give him a dress and start buying inventory space.

    STEP TWO, put all your furnishings on this new toon

    STEP THREE, go to town dropping and retrieving furnishings as desired. Make new toons as needed.

    We did this back after launch to hold all our crafting stuff...not a new trick

    But that was the only reason I quit on PC a few months after launch. That gets old. Real old. And it's not fun. Not even remotely.

    The general thought is you should get an empty house as a warehouse to store items you don't use.

    Good idea

    Great now along with creating new characters for inventory space we are expected to buy houses to stick furniture in to clear inventory??? But that's OK because ZOS have the stats and hardly anyone has upgraded their inventory space, amirite

    Not only is that clunky, it's tedious. You have no way of remembering what you have, of searching for the items, of easily clearing out a decorated home to restyle it. You need to contend with load screens both there and back.

    As I said, housing went from something fun and relaxing to inventory management. Inventory management is not fun.

    Although not a solution to the issues, I find using the addon Inventory Insight to be very useful to know what I have and where it is located. It is one of the most useful inventory additions that's been created by 3rd party developers.

    I hope this helps you as much as it has me.
