What SINGLE TARGET DPS is acceptable for Veteran Trials?

Curious. AOE damage on average is about 80k (prolly 60k now due to grothdarr nerf) and I'm CP 470 something. Single target I can reach 20k-24k if group is keeping up buffs.

People say stuff like 30k DPS or whatever, but no matter what I try or look at it just seems.... Ridiculous and impossible.

I'm curious. I really want Golden Moondancer Jewelery (or Infallible Aether) , but no groups will take me. Usually it's because "hurr durr 561 only" soon to be "600".

Currently Templar Magicka based. Keeping Dots up, puncturing sweeps, weaving in attacks etc.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

20-24k is a little low, but nothing to hold back a group in a trial from succeeding. For Hel Ra or AA, that is more than enough.
For vMoL, you can do it with that but it gets much easier when you have at least 30k by yourself, as the first boss already has phases with a DPS-race.

Getting past a certain DPS-Level requires fixed rotations and good gear. Mostly, it is just keeping track of your dots and spamming one skill in between.

Group support does also make a huge difference. With the right group I pass 40k dps on single target easily, but with others, I'm stuck at around 30k. In general, the better your group, the better you are.

Quite a lot of groups I use have awful warhorn rotations, hardly any healer uses Battle Prayer etc. So I've given up on using TBS and going for Julianos... until I get BSW (all I get is embershield..........).

I use S'rendarr buff tracker and another timer, so I re-apply DOTS when they run out. To me it seems to be me going into zerg groups being an issue, and not fully having BSW.

Try to get yourself a target skeleton, put it in an apartment and try out skill compositions, rotations etc until you see better numbers. It will help you a lot more than copying someone else's work or build. I stood there for hours on the PTS (and will continue that on live) just trying out different things/sets/skills to get the best out of my gear and build.
