Crown price ranges are realistic or crazy for unfurnished houses?

I have not called anyone anything for their opinion on this subject, they are certainly entitled to have it. As I have stated before value is subjective and I'm not going to tell anyone what they should or shouldnt value.

I still confused as to what I have said that appears to be judgemental. My stance was mine alone, 10k is perfectly fine with me. I have not resorted to name calling or insults. Unless directly attacked. But let me start over.
10k crowns for an unfurnished manor, imho, is fine. I don't want a pre-furnished house. Is 10k right for everyone, no. Everyone has different opinions on how to play the game, ie pvp, pve, trials and dungeons etc. Not one of them is wrong. For some of us there is value in the manor. I could buy it with gold, but I prefer to save my gold for decorating. This is by no means wrong, because the value I percieve from owning manor will be worth it. For those with other opinions are absolutely correct as well, they do not see any value because they do not play the same way or they percieve it to be not enough value.
I also have noticed that people complain about rising prices in the crown store, and some of that is very true and somewhat disturbing, it's not all completely grounded in reality. I will give you some examples:
1. crown store exclusive motifs vs in game motifs. Exclusive motifs were priced much lower than those of the in game variety. For all the uproar about 6k for the dromathra motif, it in reality it isn't far off the mark from other in game motifs from the crown store. The other in game motifs were 5k crowns, and did not come with mimic stones. So they are very much in line with pricing.
2. Bank and bag space upgrades 1K crowns in store or very cheap in game, to a points.
3. Potions and meals also high in store compared to in game
Now what I have noticed over the past couple of year, thing that are in the crown store and also in game are generally higher than store exclusive items. With that being said I would assume that those in game items are higher in the store as to not diminish those who put in the time and effort to get them in game. Again speculation on my part, but also just an observation on my part.
What I did find somewhat offensive is the need to resort to name calling when some does not agree with another. I would much rather we have a grown up debate or conversation. This doesn't just apply in these forums but in life as well. I will continue to respect someone's opinion, even if I do not agree with it. What I won't do is intentionally try to belittle someone for not sharing my views. Has it happened, sure, I'm human and can be aggrivated to the point of name calling or other behavior I am not proud of. At the end of the day we are all the same, we come to the forums, we play the game and try to have a little escape while doing so.
So in ending if I have offended someone I apologize. It was not my intention to do so.1 -
Gomumon✭✭✭Too high...While hardcore MMO fans may adhere to such pricing, I feel like most reasonable people will feel that an in-game cosmetic item that doesn't provide much value isn't worth the price of another full game, or two. I feel like if ZOS wants to appeal to a core audience, they should lower crown store prices to better match the term "microtransaction."
I can't picture anyone having the option to get a new game, or PC component, and choosing to get a furnished manor instead.2 -

If I decide I want to RP...ok. I'll decorate that free apartment. Make it look swank.
Will I spend millions of gold on something big? No.
Tens of thousands of crowns? Lolno.
I'll make furniture to sell to the ah...discerning and eternally wise customers seeking to furnish their lavish abodes.
I'll exploit this to the nines and make as much money for myself as possible.
Then I'll buy more gearset pieces for different sets I wanna try out and save myself some time on farming.
Other peoples' mileage may vary, but...I've been on the PTS. I've played with the housing system as it is there.
It ain't terrible, but it has zero practical value.2 -

✭✭✭SensibleThe prices are fine. If you sub for a single month you can buy an apartment. Three months is enough for the priciest small home, and six months is enough for the priciest large home.
These are all available for in-game currency as well, which is the important thing here. ALL the new mounts and outfits are being restricted to the Crown Store only, while this is content that you can earn by simply playing the game. Yeah, but my guess is still that housing was meant to be a sink. People like me who sub and buy crowns on sale have been sitting on them for a while. This will give a reason to spend those, at least for some of us. Also a gold sink for those who have stockpiled gold.
I agree with the precious sentiment about people taking out their frustrations on ZOS not the player base. Good to see someone else show a little restrainy when posting. I actually enjoy a good debate every once in a while, seem like it's a lost art.0 -

Why buy these houses with real money when you can buy them with gold that you can earn free in the game. I find it so perplexing. This will separate the P2W players from the boyz.

In the context used it does not mean literal extortion. In the same sense you see something high priced and proclaim robbery. Words have many meanings these days and fit into many different contexts beyond their literal definition and is one of the key reasons English is a difficult language to learn. Maybe you're fine with these outrageous prices, but as prices continue to go up for every new crown store item when is your breaking point? After everyone else has quit? When does it end? Do you even have a line or do you just enjoy throwing money at your screen? I don't get it. People here can't fight against this obvious greed without people like you who have drank the ZoS koolaid jumping down their throat. I'm not saying drop manor to $10, but $60 for furnished manor would've been entirely reasonable and people here likely would not be throwing such a massive fit.1 -

€110 for Ebonheart Manor versus €40 for the game itself and €40 for the expansion..... and 29% of you think these prices are sensible?? The only explanation I can think of for the outcome of this poll, is that people who can afford the manors with in game gold want to see the crown prices ridiculously high so as to maintain the exclusivity.
ZOS, well done on Homestead. I think all in all it was a very well put together system and fabulous addition to the game but I think you guys are so far off the mark with these prices that unfortunately a lot of players wont get to engage with this new system.All my housing builds are available on YouTube

My line is what I percieve to be of value. I do not drink any Zos koolaid. They indeed have items that I do not agree with. I bought the dro mathra senche mount because it fit my personality, I also had the crowns from my sub to purchase it, so there was no added cost to me. The elk mount I could have bought, but I did not like it and it was over priced in my eyes. The same people screaming about the dromathra motif for 6k crowns, it's a perceived over price, when in actuality it is on par with previous in game motifs sold in the store. Glass, Trinimac and others were 5k crowns with no mimic stones. Yet for some reason people want to compare against cs exclusive items. Crown crates, again optional junk, I tried them, not worth it for me. Others see it differently.
Again it's a matter opinion, not fact. Some people will see value in the prices, some wont. Neither side is wrong, only you can decide what is worth the price, and only for yourself. And sorry if you were insulted by my statement, it was not intended as such. I used the word ignorance in its pure form, not knowing. I will stand by that statement as it hold true. You and those who are in your camp, prices too high, are certainly entitled to your opinion, as are the other side.

As friendly as possible. I am sitting on crowns from sales and my sub, what exactly should I spend them on? This is not p2w. Housing does not offer any competitive advantage. It does offer me many extra hours of enjoyment because I like to craft. Which I will do with my saved in game gold. It really isn't perplexing, at least to me. I have the crowns already, I'm not going out and buying several packs just to purchase a manor, I have them sitting there already. I'm sure I'm not the only one either. And since there isn't anything at the moment I would use them on, this seems like something for me to finally unload them on. So it isn't just 2 camps here. Just another point to think about.0
