Keyboard/mouse or Controller and why?

Keyboard/mouse. Why? Only games I like using controllers for are sport or car racing games. Also because most of my gaming is pc based, which means using keyboard/mouse is second nature.

Gamepad - I recently got an xbox elite pad and it does compensate some of the shortcomings of using a controller. Since pc launch I have been exclusively gamepad (using xpadder before the gamepad ui beta was added).

Why? Personal preference, I use a keyboard and mouse all day for work so want some different movements, I like sitting back on the couch rather than sitting at a desk, I have an irrational belief that mashing certain keyboard keys will wear them out sooner (I'm sure I broke the "w" key back when I played the original morrowind.)
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

Yes, that is a fantastic mouse. Wish it had a few more buttons, but I've tried a lot and it seems to be the best. I use use a gamepad similar to G13, called Razer Nostromo

In all seriousness, though, this is what to play Skyrim with:

The haptic feedback doesn't work with ESO so I just use it as a MIDI interface for music-making.

I put them both on my keyboard shelf so I can sit more comfortably with less strain and fatigue.
My arms and shoulders are aligned normally and my wrists are straight to prevent things like carpal tunnel and wrist strain.

I use an Xbox controller. I started with Fallout 3 for PC and have been playing with one ever since in all games where I could use a controller. The gamepad UI in ESO is cleaner than the PC version, and the haptic feedback (vibration) is very immersive and a big advantage with lockpicking. I played WoW for years with a keyboard and mouse, and while I sometimes feel like I want to switch back to K&M, the controller just feels way more natural.

This should have been a poll.

I'm lucky to be left handed. Can use mouse with left hand and almost everything I need I put on the number pad of the keyboard. My four skills I use are the arrow keys just left of the number pad so my thumb can do them all without having to move my hand from the number pad. The 5th skill I don't use much but it is the page down key so that is easy to hit with thumb also.

I'd use a controller if I could map all my addon functions to it, but as it is I use mouse and keyboard.

I do like being able to slouch back in my chair with a controller, rather than have to hunch forward to use the keyboard. Or better still, lying on my bed with the controller. Lying on my bed with my mouse and keyboard is kind of a hassle.

Also, cats. Cats and keyboards don't mix very well.

That's pretty much exactly what I do.

Except I use the arrow keys to move and put my skills on the number pad, plus stuff like weapon swap, interrupt, synergy, quick slots etc. I also have some non-combat stuff bound to the little block of keys above the arrows. Things like Alt, stow weapon, F, mount and walk.

I have a Logitech G400 mouse which has 3 extra buttons down the middle and two on the left side. In theory it's a right-handed mouse and you're supposed to use your thumb for those but I use the side of my ring finger.

So far is the only one that don't put me on disadvantage against the mouse/keyboard playerbase, due to the extra programmable buttons and the custom settings

I always thought the reason to have ESO on PC today is so you can play with mouse and keyboard.

I use a controller for my thin delicate wrists. I do digital drawings on my computer with a drawing tablet, and it only takes so long before my wrists start to hurt from laying down on the desk. With a controller, I can rest my wrists in my lap, and they barely hurt.
Also, I played Dragon Age Inquisition before ESO, and a lot of the bindings for the controller on that game is similar to ESO's. I did rebind some buttons to be a hash of DAI and Skyrim.
I don't think I could go console tho, due to being so used to the UI I have, key shortcuts, and whatnot.

    Keyboard+Mouse.

To offset some of the postural issues of using such I have a custom built v-shaped desk that is several inches higher than normal desks, that has raised platforms at the back to place the monitors and surround-sound speakers on.

    Keyboard and mouse.

I've never wanted a console and have never been interested in any form of console controller etc.

Probably a case of too many bad memories of using gaming joysticks 30 years ago - the keyboard/mouse combination was a great invention  !

Keyboard and Mouse, or actually Laptop and Mouse, as I am always on the move due to the nature of my job, I bought Razer Orbweaver, but didn't have time to L2P on it, I also have Razer Naga Ultimate 2014, but was never able to fully utilize it due to the small buttons. Planning to buy Razer Hex v2 to try it out.

Honestly my play time is so limited and my internet connection so bad that I play on 350ms+ most of the time, that it's just bad, perhaps when I get to a place with good connection I could really start using the equipment I have spent so much money on.

Keyboard and mouse. Nothing too fancy, just a Corsair K40 / Sabre. They do the job just fine. I grew up with PC gaming and it just feels more natural to me. Plus, I have big hands and I have struggled a bit using controllers in the past.
