"Attacking" a group and "attacking" a person isn't exactly the same.
But I'm not saying one side is the good and the other side is the ugly, here. I'm just seeing once again how the ambition to beat the hardest content in the game, obtain the "braggin' rights" (skin, title...) and getting a competitive state of mind brings out nasty aspects of people. Whether it is the "have" or the "have not but wannabe", everything that revolves around that sort of content and achievements brings a brutal distortion in human relationships and socializing. That's what I feel quite sorry about. It's not about you acknowledging OP's "prowess" or not - even though, well, why not let people be happy about their achievements in a video game ?

I know a lot of people like that, and I can understand their feelings as to why. A lot o progression runs and guilds who do VMoL can be very nasty. I've experimented some of them first hand, but was lucky enough to meet very kind-hearted people when I did. And from what I've been told, there's a ton of drama that occurs even in top-ranked PvE guilds.2 -
Mortehl✭✭✭Champ I'm really glad we reconnected and I'm glad you finally got your skin. Its a shame what happened with Bleeds, but unfortunately that's the kind of drama you deal with.
The internet can be divided into three categories:
1) ***
2) Advertising (for ***)
3) People treating each other like *** under the guise of anonymity.
I could go into why all three of those have exactly the same thing in common but that would derail the conversation. You just need to keep working to find people who are all pulling for the same goals. You can play with people who are VERY good at the game but are total ***, or some varying level of both categories, but ultimately it comes down to whats important to you.
Some of my closest friends in the ESO community are among the best, but they're also genuinely good folks. I consider myself extremely lucky to share my gaming time with them and I will vigorously defend them when they come under attack from trolls because I know how many hours they spend helping others.
There's a group of us who look for PS4 twitch streams and while yeah maybe we troll some of the people on occasion (They're also our friends lol), mostly what we're looking for are people who are struggling because they either have bad strategies or maybe have a few people who are just not ready for the content. We offer advice through twitch chat, we join their guilds and give the advice in voice chat, and when it gets real bad we offer to jump in as people have to leave due to the time of the night, or simply rage quitting. I actually found more pleasure when I helped another guild get a lot of new skins on their first clear by joining in and spending like 7 hours on rakkat with them than I did when I got my skin.
Anyway, this is a long post and I didn't write it to prop myself up. I just think people should focus more on enjoying the game and less about fighting with each other or telling everyone how ** I AM BETTER THAN YOU BOW BEFORE MY ELITIST PRICK **
