Well, it's quite true that hard and competitive endgame content brings out the worst in many players - and your post is a perfect example of that. OP's post too (guild torn, long-term friends turning into rivals, etc.)
Regardless of what side one stands ("skinned" vs. "non-skinned") one will just blame the players on the other side.
Is it so strange to assume he did though?
He recently posted a huge rant about the End Game community and how he couldn't get into a group to do vMoL since he believed that he clearly possessed the skills because he can solo things with pets, high regen and spending hours in a single dungeon was his version of skill.
He also said that DPS tests doesn't prove anything and that he should be welcomed into Top Core teams because reasons.
Also in that threat they, End Game guilds, are charging ridiculous amounts of gold for the skin and getting carried clearly hinting that if the price was reasonable he would be ok with it.

He also explains in this thread how many hours he spent in there with various groups, which is the opposite of getting carried.
You may have doubts, sure. But your post was not about expressing doubts. It was about deliberately devaluating and hurting someone. And I see this trend in many (not all) endgame competitive players.
So bad mouthing/slandering and complaining about an entire part of the community, as he does, is ok.
But when I even question this I'm "hurting" him?
Wouldn't that mean that the whole End Game community is now "hurting" because of his insults and negativity he posted against them? He even stated that they are ruining the whole End Game, just because he wasn't accepted into Top Core guilds, and refused to even take simple tests they asked for.
You can't have it both ways, and hypocrisy annoys me.
Don't really enjoy doing trials and I especially don't enjoy pretentious morons yelling at me through a mic. Which is why once I get the armor and jewelry I need from them I won't be going back.
