ESO not only won, but won by a huge margin. I'd say it's a pretty definitive message about how Zenimax is doing with this title.

Its ranking, along with a certain other fantasy MMORPG on that list (hint: it got 9.3) pretty much sums up exactly my thoughts on each of these titles in recent months. I've played both pretty extensively and my impression of each boils down to: One developer gets it. The other is clueless.

Here's hoping things like this send the right message to the people calling the shots at ZOS, and they stay the course they've been on in terms of world and content design, and don't get greedy or start altering the game to "try and appeal to even more players!", or become more aggressive with the cash shop. That never bodes well for the players who supported it to begin with.

The forums can seem negative at times but it is nice to have a game where we have communications. Single player games are pop and it's done - no community input changes anything. TESO feels alive and growing. It will be around after people have retired their single players. Consoles break (because we cannot get in them to clean the dust out - they did that on purpose). OS's upgrade and drivers go obsolete. But a living mmo counters obstacles and keeps trucking like a Mad Max movie.

Could you provide an example of where user input in ESO has changed anything? I'm pretty down these last few weeks about this game and would really love a pick-me-up about the game right now.

First person view was introduced on late beta tests due to user input.
Armor dyes were introduced months after release after a lot of complaining in the forums that everybody looked the same.
A few months later, ZOS made it possible to pick up basic equipment in the world (they used to be just part of the decoration), something that people had been asked for too.
Justice system was introduced about a year after release, previously being considered a player-unfriendly system that shouldn't be added to a MMO, after people complained that the lack of it hurt the "TES feel". Another thing asked for but previously considered impossible to add to a MMO is a kill cam, introduced with the Blade of Woe animations.
Veteran Levels were introduced as a temporary system (and later removed), along with Cadwell's Gold and Silver, because people complained they didn't want to make more than one character to experience the entire story.
Base inventory space was raised due to player input in beta tests.
The way mounts work changed later down the line also due to player input. We used to be able to feed a horse 50 times only, which meant you could only max one attribute and people had multiple horses per character and they had to go to the stables to change their active one and get the benefits it offered.

There are several other changes that were due to user input, but I'm too lazy to keep typing.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Not entirely true, broken steel was probably changed to continue after main quest in fallout 3 because of complains.
But yes user feedback is way more important in an MMO there you need the players to continue to play.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

This voting is purely based on the advertisement of the game which ZOS does all the time. Just look at the spam on social networks. They post every day about update that's due in 4 months!

LOL...Just when you think you've already seen the most stupid post ever a new one comes along. Advertisements getting people to vote on the quality of the game. Warcraft would win in a landslide if that was even remotely the case.

The content in the game is decent, the business practises of ZOS and their reward systems are ludicrous!
