Today's Matt Firor Announcement; Well Done

I just read Matt Firor's announcement today and was greatly encouraged to see what he has written. Sometimes I pull my hair out thinking the halls of the dev building are filled with kids running around shooting spit balls and throwing paper airplanes. Thank you Mr. Firor for showing me wrong. I play ESO because it is the best looking adventure game ever. It's clearly very hard to make this all work and deal with us in the peanut gallery. Your vision and planning look good to me. I along with many have played a long time and will continue. We tolerate much and hope for the best. But at 63 years old and having played online games since the 90's I will say they all have had similar problems. The only game I can recall playing that never crashed my computer was Colossal Cave AKA Adventure; it was text only. ESO is becoming a universe not just a continent. But when can I get a dragon to fly and shoot fire at the enemy?

Would be nice if you copied this "announcement" into your post, rather than comment about something many people haven't read yet.

Or at least summed up what it was they were encouraged by in the announcement instead of rambling incoherently with no paragraph breaks nor point.

That's no announcement of anything - its just advertising. Which is ok - I have no issue about their advertisements but to make a thread about the "Matt Firor Announcement" made it sound like he made some personal important statement.

Less but some perceive it as good cause they assumed all dlc would be xpansions only.

Pretty sure Matt letting everyone know what is on tap for 2017 counts as an announcement.

Call it advertising if you want but its semantics...and I'm pretty sure he is never going to make a personal statement to this crowd.

Promising improvement to Cyrodiil performance, seems I have heard that before but one can only hope.

I missed the part where they are doing something for subscribers. What is that?

Did you notice that new systems will be in expansions, not in DLC? It is interesting to see scale of DLC. Will we ever see DLC again the size of Orsinum? Or would they instead just make a future Orsinium a little larger and an expansion?

I'm curious to know what 'new systems' they're referring too, considering that they can't add anything drastic because of having millions of players playing with different expansions. As in, one player may have this expansion, another player will have another, and a third would have both... so you can't add anything drastic that would give one player an advantage over another or cause major confusion. Remember, that was the excuse for not separating PvE from PvP, they wanted everything to feel and play exactly the same no matter where you went or what content you played.

In about another thousand years or so....when Alduin returns and resurrects the dead dragons, and any in hiding come out of the shadows to serve him again.
